I requested one fandom, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, and selected both fic and art for any of the fourteen relationships in the tagset. My username is forsworn - gifts are enabled and treats are welcome.

I saw this film a few months ago and absolutely fell in love with it. I love all the characters in it, and I love all the possibilities for relationships between them - both romantic/sexual and platonic - and I'd be excited to receive something for any of them. I've provided prompts for each of them, as well as some general headcanons/thoughts on each of the main characters, but these are just suggestions and you don't have to stick to them!

Ratings wise, I'm happy with anything from G to Explicit for sexual content, and G to T for violence. (Canon-typical violence is fine, but you can go a bit harder if you want. Blood is okay, pain is great, but I don't want exposed organs or bones poking out or things like that.) I enjoy a wide range of things, from the fluffiest fluff to kinky PWP, from deep angst to fun adventures, as well as hurt/comfort for both platonic and romantic ships.

I love when artists accurately show all the details of the design - but I've also really enjoyed art where they've tweaked the outfit to their own style (more minimalist, different silhouette, details moved, patterns added, etc) so feel free to re-interpret them a little!
Would also be interested in requested pairings wearing each other's clothes: either a full outfit swap, or one wearing the other's jacket, wrapped in their cloak, and so on.
A lot of my specific prompts below are narrative ones because that's how my brain works, but feel free to pick a single moment from any of those scenarios and illustrate that. (Unless you feel inclined to create a multi-panel comic or other sequential artwork, in which case I will definitely not complain. But this is a low-minimum exchange!)

Character Thoughts:

Doric

I love that Doric is a tiny tiefling who can turn into a great big owlbear, which probably makes her stronger than Holga and Xenk combined. And I love that she's good-hearted, passionate and moral... but also blunt and sharp-tongued. She doesn't back down and she doesn't suffer fools. (But she will allow a bunch of idiots to draw her into their found family...)

As a tiefling, she was abandoned by her parents and presumably faces a lot of discrimination and/or suspicion when they're travelling around. That could be something to delve into if you want to do angst focused on her. On the other hand, if you want to do fluff, feel free to have the places they visit be totally nonchalant about her presence, much as Mornbryn's Shield was. I would love to see her get to be happy.

By the way, Doric was raised by wood elves, and in the lore wood elves are canonically polyamorous. If you wanted to use that. (But I am also very happy for Doric to be monogamous!)

Edgin

I love that Edgin is a masculine hero but not in a toxic, aggressive way. Holga is the physical power in their partnership, he's the one who stands back and plans. He's got a good heart, and I love how soft he is... He cares about his friends! He encourages them! He's free with his touches! He knits! He charms people, but not in a creepy, sexual way! He really loves his family! (So much so, he gets himself in trouble, because he's also kind of an idiot - but I love that about him too.)

I'm really interested in the way he both seems to generally be a cheerful, optimistic person, and yet also uses that cheerfulness as a mask to hide his deep hurts. He genuinely believes that Simon can do what he tells him he's capable of, he always thinks things will work out somehow, two years in Revel's End and he still has hope they'll get out of there... But even when he breaks down on the beach, he's trying to smile as the tears well up. I have a lot of feelings about this, and how it can play into (mutual) pining, how his friends see him, when he chooses to let that mask drop, when he can't keep the mask on at all...

I ship Edgin/Zia a lot so if you're pairing him up with someone else I'd prefer that new ship not be portrayed as "better" - equally good is fine, good in a different way is fine. (You don't have to mention Edgin/Zia at all if it's not relevant, that's also fine. But if it does come up, I don't want the importance of his marriage to be downplayed.) This is probably most relevant if you're doing a soulmate AU or similar: if, say, Xenk is Edgin's soulmate, I'd like Zia to be too. But if it's an accidental soulbond in a world that doesn't normally have soulmates, it's fine if he didn't have a soulbond with Zia. As long as he's not suddenly declaring, "Wow, I finally know what love is!" or anything.

Holga

I love that Holga is just so completely a barbarian. She's strong and tough, she loves weapons, she's gruff and reserved. And I love that she can be motherly without compromising or diminishing any of that. I love seeing the particular little ways that Holga shows that she does care: the arm punches, the protectiveness, those tiny moments of tenderness that would just be an everyday statement coming from someone else but which are a real sign of love and vulnerability when it comes to Holga.

Her backstory with her tribe and Marlamin is pretty tragic, in that she gave up one family for another and then lost the second one anyway - and she doesn't seem to have realised that she's part of another family now. (Though maybe, after Edgin saved her, she's beginning to see that.) Maybe when she agreed to the Korinn's Keep heist, she secretly worried she'd be pushed out if they successfully got Zia back - but she agreed to it anyway, for Edgin's sake and for Kira's. Would love to see her feeling more secure in the party's found family, with any or all of them!

Also, I am eternally delighted by Holga's love for potatoes.

Kira

Ah, poor little Kira. She seems to have been okay with Forge, even though she missed Edgin and Holga, but I imagine that the revelation of his lies and him threatening her with a knife have messed her up a lot. How long does that take to fade? And how easy does she find it to reconnect with Edgin and Holga now they're back together? As much as I would love soft domestic feels, there's room for nuance - and by nuance I mean angst.

I don't have a specific headcanon as to which class she'll eventually choose, though I lean towards rogue, but I can imagine her wanting to try out different options and learn as much as she can from each of the party. Maybe she inherited some, all or none of Edgin's musical talent; maybe she has an underdiscovered skill for magic.

I love seeing her use her necklace of invisibility for fun and games, to hide or aid the others during battle, or in innovative ways during their slightly-less-criminal-than-before adventures.

Simon

I love that Simon is soft and sweet, but also sarcastic and sulky. I so want to see him succeed and be happy, whether that's with his friendships, his romance or his magic. He made a lot of progress with his self-confidence over the course of the movie, so if you want to show me a newly calm and confident Simon I will happily accept that, but you can also show him still on the path to true confidence: better than he was before, but still growing and learning. (Maybe with a partner's - or a friend's - help.)

He has a lot of potential for angst, both as a half-elf and a sorcerer. Half-elves are often considered too human by the elves and too elven by the humans, so wherever he grew up that was probably difficult. Especially as he would've developed physically at a different rate. And then he's got the weight of his family's legacy: the only sorcerer born to a long line of wizards, struggling to control his magic which works nothing like theirs, and yet walking around with a name that everybody must recognise. Even Edgin tries to play on it when recruiting Doric! If you wanted to explore either of these in more depth, that'd be really interesting.

I have a weird headcanon that Simon has really bad luck. Not just with his magic misfiring, but with little things too. Tripping and falling into a corpse? Getting his foot stuck while trying to sneak into Castle Never? Yeah. Maybe it's just coincidence, or maybe there is something causing it...

I also think of him as being a bit of a geek. Not about any particular subject - just generally being excited to learn a little bit about everything, moreso than the average person. So I'd love to see him get to indulge that. Maybe he gets excited when they find an abandoned library?

Xenk

I love Xenk's paladin goodness. Despite everything that's happened to him, he is just an intense force for good - kind, compassionate, gentle... Even though he struggles with social interaction. Even though he could easily demolish someone in battle. Xenk is just A Good Guy, and I love that.

I'm really interested in the potential angst of his backstory and his life as a paladin. Seeing his family and his home destroyed as a child, presumably escaping as a refugee, living with what the Beckoning Death did to him... Honestly it would be more surprising if it hadn't messed him up. One of my favourite tropes is Xenk having nightmares about the Beckoning Death. (And, of course, being comforted by his love interest and/or friends.) I also think it's very possible that he thinks of himself as cursed or that he's lost part of his soul - whether or not that's actually true.

As a paladin, he's sworn himself to a duty that never ends, and I think he'd take that very seriously. So seriously that I imagine he feels like lust and love are things that he shouldn't indulge in. I also think he struggles with personal relationships in general, because he lives such a nomadic life and because people put him on a pedestal as this distant, flawless hero... then if they get to know the real him, they realise how difficult he is to talk to and lose interest. As a result of all this, I tend to assume that he's a virgin. I very much imagine him as being a swirling mass of repressed longing, self-denial, pining and loneliness, which makes for delicious angst. And with Edgin in particular, Xenk may well assume that he could never be interested in someone like him. (But, of course, love doesn't actually break his oath. So while he might initially protest that he can't be with them, if he finds out his feelings are requited he's not going to hold back for long...)

I headcanon him as an Oath of Devotion paladin, sworn to the concept of justice or protecting the innocent, so I'd prefer not to receive a work that ties him to any god(s). The Oath of Devotion requires him to swear five vows – including a vow of honesty, which has great story potential – but it's fine if you don't want to incorporate that. It won't bother me if you have him tell a lie or do something else that contradicts those vows, I'd just prefer him not to be explicitly an Oath of the Ancients paladin or whatever.

I'm fine with both autistic and non-autistic interpretations of Xenk, whether you want to make that explicit or leave it ambiguous.

Simon & Edgin & Kira & Doric & Holga & Xenk

I love the found family that the party develop over the course of the film, and really want to see Kira and Xenk included in that as they all adventure together. I'm looking for banter, tender feelings, protectiveness, and/or the interplay between everyone's different personalities. Fluff, angst, action-adventure and hurt/comfort are all great!

I'd like to see everyone get to do something, but you don't have to feature them all equally. Feel free to foreground one or two of them, and how they relate to each other, or to the rest of the party as a whole. (I also requested Xenk & each of the party separately, but this does not have to be Xenk focused! I love all of these characters and am fascinated by how they interact, so this is the "everyone together" request with an option to highlight any of them. Unless you want to create a longer work, and delve into all of them and the web of relationships between them, in which case have at it! But this is a low-minimum exchange, I am not expecting that.)

Also, I mentioned it at the top, but this request does not have to be entirely gen. You can absolutely have Xenk/Edgin and Doric/Simon happening in the background. (Or the rarepairs I requested...) But this request is very much about the found family feels.

Domestic life when your home is on the road. Sitting around the campfire, eating, joking, telling ghost stories or stories of past adventures, Edgin singing and the others joining in (or not). Exploring the market in a new town, sampling the local food, drinking in a tavern. Banter, comfortable friendship, soft found family feels.
They get ambushed by a Red Wizard/gnolls/bullywugs/whatever. Roll initiative! The party has to band together to protect each other and get out of there.
Dungeon delving! You don't have to cover the entire quest (unless you want to), I'd be excited for a single scene where they solve a puzzle, overcome a trap, get hopelessly lost and bicker about it, etc. Or maybe they accidentally spring a trap, again. Or they get their hands on the artifact and it doesn't do what they expected!
It's time for Insert Seasonal Festival! Who loves the traditions, who hates them, who's never heard of them? Is it celebrated differently in Triboar than in Thay, among the Elk Tribe compared to the wood elves? Maybe someone eats too much, maybe someone hates the taste of the traditional food. Maybe someone's really good at the traditional game - or really bad at it. Maybe someone's excited to celebrate the day in a new way, or maybe seeing everyone celebrating it in a different way makes them homesick. An excuse for soft fluff, silly shenanigans or a bit of angst.
Or it's someone's birthday! Who is it, how old are they, what presents do they get? Do they love birthdays, do they hate them, have they tried to keep it secret?
Simon's wild magic misfires and causes chaos. You can either pick something from the official list or come up with something suitably comedic/dramatic.
They arrive in a town that has a potato shortage and must go on a Quest to find a potato for Holga.
Edgin knits presents for everyone. They're a bit lumpy, but they're made with love.
Any/all of the magic users trying to teach Kira how to do magic.
Doric sitting on laps as a cat, or providing a big warm bundle to cuddle up to as an owlbear.
The party find out what actually happened to Xenk's family during the Beckoning Death - and how traumatic it was for him - when a spell recreates his worst memory in front of them.
One of them gets injured, and the others all show their concern in their own way. Maybe Xenk can heal them quickly - or maybe he's run out of spells for the day, and the group has to keep the injured person comfortable until they can be healed. Or Xenk has been cuffed, and they have to protect the injured person while also escaping from danger.

Edgin & Holga

I can't tell you how excited I was to see a canon male-female relationship that will explicitly only ever be platonic, and yet is vitally important to their lives. I love how they clearly care for and respect each other, despite being so different, and how they use their different skills to achieve their goals together.

I would be happy to see anything about the two of them, set at any point from when they first meet to after the events of the film. Fluff, angst, hurt/comfort... All of it. I just want to see them bantering, working together, protecting each other, being best friends and co-parents. I love seeing little hints of affection peeking through Holga's gruffness, and I love Edgin feeling secure enough to drop his cheerful mask. But I also love them being genuinely happy together.

Take pretty much any common trope that fandom does for romantic ships and shove these two into it, but make it aggressively platonic. They get hit with sex pollen but refuse to fuck! Telepathic soulbond but Edgin's only got a song stuck in his head! Fake relationship but Holga refuses to do more than hold hands! Omega Edgin goes into heat but alpha Holga's immune to his pheromones, and she protects him from all other alphas! etc. etc.
Holga gets hurt and Edgin has to try and convince her to let him dress the wound. Maybe she initially tries to hide her injury. Or Edgin gets hurt or sick and Holga is his awkward caretaker, little bits of softness slipping through her usually gruff demeanour.
"Not fortune found nor fate divine" seems to be Edgin's song of choice for cheering up Holga. Show me another time(s) when he sang it to her. Or maybe one where she sang it to him.
Them raising Kira together, whether as a baby, a child or a teen. Teaching her to walk, teaching her to speak, teaching her life skills. Kira's milestones. Celebrating Kira's birthday. Did they ever disagree on how to parent her?
Stuck in Revel's End together. Maybe Edgin tries to entertain Holga through the long boring days. Or it's even colder than normal and they have to cuddle for warmth. Maybe they angst together about missing Kira. Maybe Edgin braids Holga's hair for her.
Or the other prisoners discover Edgin was a Harper and decide to punish him (with a beating or attempted noncon) and Holga has to rescue him, or prevents it from happening to begin with.

Xenk & Doric

We don't really get any focused moments between these two in the film, but Doric actually seems like the least hostile to Xenk from the beginning - ironic considering her stance on humans started as "hateful and selfish" and "just can't help but lie"... but then Xenk and his ridiculous paladin goodness are so obviously the opposite of that! Now that she's decided humans are "okay", I'd love to see her and Xenk become true friends.

Bonding over being very visibly from groups that are widely hated/mistrusted. Maybe they discuss why they choose not to hide it, and how difficult that can be sometimes. Maybe they talk about the families they lost, and how different their childhoods were.

Xenk is one of the few people who actually enjoys how blunt Doric is, and Doric is pleased that he does.

Doric in owlbear form is the only one strong enough to carry an injured/unconscious Xenk in full armour.

Appreciating the wonders of nature together - the dawn chorus, a beautiful landscape, a starry sky, the first buds of spring, the leaves turning gold...

Doric gets injured, and tries to remain stoic as Xenk heals her. Or Xenk gets injured, and can't heal himself - but Doric knows a natural remedy, and the plant grows in this area.

Xenk gets downed during a fight and owlbear Doric has to protect him.

Xenk & Holga

Between Holga's natural gruffness, her quick labelling of Xenk as "no fun" and the short amount of screentime they spend together, we don't really get to see these two bonding. I'd love them to move towards friendship and a mutual appreciation of each other, even if Holga only demonstrates that affection through very small gestures.

Sparring together, working out together. Maybe Xenk tries to go easy on Holga and she baits him into giving everything he's got. Maybe Xenk is just pleased to have someone who can keep up with him.
Holga shows Xenk how to have fun, or vice versa. Maybe they discover an activity they would never have appreciated on their own. Or maybe they're not convinced by it, but they learn to understand each other better. Or Xenk is grateful for the time spent together, but not the horrible hangover that results.
Cleaning or looking after their weapons together. Maybe Xenk also appreciates the work of Ghelryn Foehammer. Maybe Xenk once saved Ghelryn Foehammer!
Xenk asks Holga about the story behind her tattoos.
Holga gets injured and Xenk has to convince her to let him heal her.
Xenk teaches Holga some Thayan swear words. (Presumably more literal ones.)

Xenk & Kira

I'm fine with this being either in the context of background Xenk/Edgin or just Xenk joining the party and becoming their friend. I want all the super soft platonic or familial feelings here, with maybe a bit of angst due to Kira's time with Forge.

How long does it take Kira to trust Xenk? How much of Edgin's hatred of Thayans did she pick up? Does her experience with Forge – a man she trusted because Edgin trusted him, who then turned on her – affect how willing she is to believe in Xenk's goodness, or in Edgin's declaration of Xenk's goodness? Does she no longer trust her own assessment of people? Does Xenk have to work hard to reassure her... or is his innate goodness so incredibly obvious that actually she trusts him quite quickly?

Playing a game where Kira turns invisible and Xenk has to use his super hearing to figure out where she is. Or a board game. Or a snowball fight!
Xenk protects Kira during a battle when her invisibility fails.
Kira receives a minor injury (something like a graze or a small cut, nothing big please!) and Xenk is very kind and gentle as he heals it for her.
Xenk braids Kira's hair for her.
They get captured and imprisoned together. Xenk reassures Kira while they wait for the others to rescue them.
Or Xenk gets imprisoned, and Kira uses her necklace to sneak in and tell him the escape plan. Or deliver the key to his cell.
Is Xenk concerned about Kira's moral compass, considering she was brought up among a gang of thieves? Does he try to influence her towards goodness, the way he does with her father? Or maybe Kira is surprised by Xenk's morality, like the fact he is prepared to steal as long as it's for X reason.
Edgin's birthday is coming up, so Xenk and Kira go shopping for presents together.
They've been walking for hours and Kira is exhausted. Xenk gives her a piggyback.
Show me how Xenk's relationship with Kira develops if he starts dating Edgin, or even marries him. She already has two mothers, a father, and had an "uncle", so I don't really see her being upset by him joining the family. But is he surprised the first time she hugs him? How long before he feels comfortable giving her a kiss on the forehead? What does she go to him for advice about? Is he the "strict" parent? Or, having not known her as a young child, is he more ready to give her responsibility appropriate to her age than Edgin and Holga, who maybe haven't quite accepted she's growing up? Or just some adorable domestic fluff about a normal day at the cottage in Targos.

Xenk & Simon

I also requested this as a sexual/romantic ship; feel free to use those prompts in a more platonic way

In the film, Simon mostly seems to get on Xenk's nerves (being sarcastic! destroying the bridge!) but he's not doing it on purpose and I really think if they spent more time together they could become good friends. Despite his initial jealousy, Simon is eager for Xenk to stay at the end. But maybe Simon worries that Xenk doesn't like him, or doesn't respect him? And Xenk isn't great at social interaction, so he might not realise Simon feels that way, or might not know how to explain that he actually does care. Potentially some angst there, but I'd also love some fluff.

I imagine them both to be quite nerdy: Simon in a "likes to know a bit about everything" way, Xenk more specifically interested in history and puzzles. Maybe they could find common ground in geeking out about some artifact or old book they discover, or just having a good chat about some fascinating information. (I don't think anyone else in the party would be that interested, so they'd probably both be like finally! Someone who gets it!) Or they have to combine their knowledge in order to unlock a puzzle inside a dungeon?

Xenk tries to teach Simon some combat skills so he can defend himself if he runs out of spell slots/his wild magic misfires/he gets cuffed again.
Simon worries that Xenk doesn't like him. Xenk surprises him with a thoughtful gift, perhaps a rare tome on sorcery.
Xenk doesn't want to bother Simon with the Heavy Object he's carrying. He can manage! He doesn't want to impose! Everyone else might make Simon carry things, but he won't! And Simon has to convince Xenk that using his bag of holding is the most sensible option all around.
Simon gets injured in battle and Xenk heals him. Or Xenk is sick/injured, and Simon watches over him while he's unconscious.
Or maybe Simon injures himself and then tries to hide it because he's embarrassed about how it happened. But Xenk figures it out and insists on healing him.
There's a cave-in but Simon uses his shield spell to protect the two of them. Xenk has to keep Simon calm so the spell stays up long enough for owlbear Doric to smash through the rubble.

Doric/Holga

Look, we all know Holga's got a Thing for halflings, and Doric may not be that small but she's still not that big. Maybe Holga slowly comes to see her in a new light... Or maybe Doric takes a shine to Holga, and she puts the idea in her head.

They're both quite blunt, and both brawlers in battle, but in different ways - it'd be interesting to see them bond over that, while maybe showing the contrast between them. Or they could bond over their angsty backstories, and comfort each other, learning to be more vulnerable. I don't have a lot of headcanons here, so I'm excited to see where you could take it.

Also, I love how excited Holga was about the fact Doric became a deer!

(Please don't mention Simon and Doric breaking up. I'd rather you just ignore that ship or give them an open relationship.)

Fighting side by side, protecting each other as they lay waste to the baddies.
Holga carrying Doric in her arms while she's injured/unconscious.
Or Doric shapeshifts to carry an injured/unconscious Holga.
While adventuring, they meet someone who hates tieflings. Holga makes it clear that Doric is not to be harmed.
Holga gets injured and tries to insist she's fine. Doric is equally insistent about taking care of her wounds.
Doric gets shrunk down and/or Holga gets embiggened. Naturally, Holga is into this.
They get hit by sex pollen and the experience is unexpectedly hot.
For dom/sub, I'm happy with whichever way you want to assign the roles. Maybe dom Holga loves pinning Doric down, grunting orders and absolutely ruining her. Maybe sub Doric loves giving up control to someone so much stronger than her. Or maybe dom Doric delights in having control over someone so much stronger than her, and sub Holga likes being able to have sex without doing much talking and just following orders.

Doric/Simon

I love how soft Simon gets around Doric and I'd love to see her showing a softer side to him in return. (I do love Doric's spikiness though.) And I love that over the course of the film, she was very interested every time Simon's competency was shown or discussed - she was always into him, she just had this one dealbreaker, and then he fixed it! (Well, maybe he didn't entirely fix it: I love Simon having more confidence, but it might be nice to see him struggle a little - with Doric encouraging him, now she's convinced of his capability.) Does Doric have a competency kink?

Both of them have angsty pasts: Doric as a tiefling rejected by her parents, who's visibly an outsider wherever she goes; Simon as a sorcerer trying to live up to his family's long legacy of wizardry. Plus, as a half-elf, wherever he was raised, he was probably too human for the elves and too elven for the humans. As they get to know each other better, it'd be great to see them open up to each other about these things.

Maybe their courting is awkward at first, possibly hampered by Simon's tendency to break things or fall over, but I absolutely believe they're a good match and would love to see a happy relationship grow between them.

I tend to imagine Simon is a virgin, due to all his awkwardness at romance, and considering how disliked tieflings are Doric might be one too. But maybe she has some experience, and confidently reassures a nervous Simon.

Soft domestic times, whether at home or on the road. Cooking together, going shopping, changing the bedclothes, just relaxing by the fire. These two need some happiness!

For this pairing, I'm fine with a consensual relationship, conflicted feelings, dubcon or Forge nonconning Edgin. Breakups are also okay here. (I mean, "betraying you and getting you sent to prison for two years" is kind of a breakup in itself...)

I love that Forge genuinely cares about Edgin, wants good things for him, enjoys spending time with him... and yet will quite happily ruin Edgin's life if it enriches his own. And he doesn't see any contradiction in that! That's so deliciously complicated.

Meanwhile Edgin seems to have trusted Forge, not only enough to ask him to look after Kira, but to be surprised when Forge later reveals his betrayal at Korinn's Keep. All that time he had to think while spending two years in Revel's End, and Edgin never considered that the con man could have been a traitor? Is Forge that good? Is Edgin actually a bit naive? Or has Edgin always been suspicious of Forge - but thought that his own criminal talents were enough that he would spot any betrayal before it happened? And, as he didn't see it, obviously Forge hadn't betrayed him...

I'd love to see these two being flirty and charming together, whether during one of their schemes or while relaxing in a tavern. Feel free to have Forge manipulating Edgin, or Edgin not being sure if he's being manipulated or not. I'm happy with it being either a fun, angst-free ship before the betrayal, or unsettling yet hot.

One night at an inn, Edgin (or both of them) gets really drunk and they end up making out. Maybe they go to bed together, or maybe Edgin halts proceedings because he feels too guilty about Zia.
They have some kind of friends-with-benefits situation. Maybe just to blow off some steam with someone convenient. Maybe Edgin's deeply missing Zia and needs to feel something else for a while. Maybe they genuinely like each other but they're too emotionally constipated to do more than fuck.
Edgin has a sexy dream about Forge, maybe while he's stuck in Revel's End – whether or not he'd already noticed, or acted on, an attraction to the guy.

I mostly see this as hatesex, dubcon, Forge having unrequited lust for Sofina, or Sofina nonconning Forge. Technically not a full blown relationship, but I'm fine with them having a "breakup". Would love to see Sofina being cold and distant but possibly indulging for her own reasons, and Forge trying to be charming and suave but finding it has little effect.

Did Sofina ever offer undeath to Forge? Maybe she did and he turned it down, and his refusal of that "gift" was the moment she decided he was nothing more than an insufferable pawn. Or maybe she never offered, and Forge was both pleased and disappointed by that.

Forge seems a bit scared of Sofina (and rightly so) but maybe he kinks on that? Maybe whenever she does something terrifyingly Red Wizardy near him - or to him - he smiles and charms her while his heart is pounding, then runs away to have a wank? (Maybe she knows that, and uses it against him when she wants him to go away.) .

Forge flirts with Sofina for the first time and she shuts him down hard. Maybe this even involves grabbing his balls and threatening his manhood?

Would Edgin's charm and confidence carry over to the bedroom, or would he be earnest and vulnerable? Would Simon be anxious about his performance, or more willing to believe Edgin's reassurances? Depending on the situation, maybe Edgin feels too weird about the age difference, and isn't prepared to do more than kiss... until something pushes them into it.

Simon's frustrated by his lack of romantic success and thinks he'd find it easier if he had more experience, so he asks Edgin to help him practise flirting/practise kissing/take his virginity. For this ship, I'm fine with conflicted feelings that are never acted upon, hatesex, dubcon, or Dralas nonconning Xenk. Breakups are okay, as they are clearly not together at the time of the movie.

Their dialogue makes it clear that these two have a history, but what kind of history is that? Were they always enemies? We don't really get a sense of Dralas's past or how they met but, in contrast to the compassion and encouragement Xenk shows everyone else, Dralas is the one person that Xenk calls "loathsome"... Is Xenk conflicted about treating Dralas so negatively, or does he feel it's justified? Dralas seems almost teasing during their conversation. Does he enjoy getting a rise out of the stoic paladin?

Unlike the Red Wizards, Dralas bears the same mark on his forehead that Xenk does. Was he a victim of the Beckoning Death, like those "honourable men" Xenk saw turned into monsters? Trained as an assassin, with no memory of his mortal life? Or did he willingly submit to undeath, choosing to serve Szass Tam? Maybe he had been an assassin for years - or maybe he was a child at the time of the Beckoning Death, who survived the spell but was ripped from his family anyway, and brainwashed as they trained him to serve in the future? Maybe he was even Xenk's childhood friend! (Whichever you choose, I'd prefer child Xenk not to have met an adult Dralas, or vice versa.)

If you go for a post-film setting, it's fine to mention that Dralas survived being eaten by Themberchaud and that it wasn't pleasant, but I don't want any further details!

They first met when Szass Tam sent Dralas to win Xenk's trust and then force undeath on him/capture him and take him back to Thay. But the more he got to know Xenk, the more complicated Dralas's loyalties became...
Or maybe they were childhood friends and Xenk once had hope of freeing him from the curse of undeath. Maybe Dralas used that to play on Xenk's sympathies, trying to convince him he didn't really want to be a villain. Did Xenk give up on Dralas because he realised only a Tablet of Reawakening could free him, or because he realised Dralas had totally converted to Szass Tam's side?
They're trapped in a dungeon or somewhere, and the only way for either of them to escape is to work together.
Dralas tries to tempt Xenk to the dark side. He'd never give in, of course, but maybe Dralas makes it painful enough that he wishes he could - maybe through torture, or through some kind of magic.
Or Xenk needs some information from Dralas, and he casts a Zone of Truth before interrogating him.
Another fight between them, but this time without weapons – resulting in a lot of grabbing, wrestling and straddling.
Dralas captures Xenk, puts him in chains and tenderly menaces him.
In the middle of a fight, they accidentally disturb something that releases sex pollen. Now they have to fuck or both of them will die, permanently.
Dralas survived being eaten by Themberchaud and decides to get revenge by nonconning Xenk. Maybe the other assassins watch - or join in.

I have so many feelings about these two. I love their banter and how they spark off each other, how Edgin sees Xenk as an enemy but then grows to respect him and doesn't want him to leave, how Xenk is frustrated with Edgin's criminal tendencies but fully believes in his goodness and is determined to draw it out... Making Edgin swear on the Harper's seal, then tenderly touching his hand? In fact, all of the hand-holding, and the offers of hand-holding. I'd love to see how their relationship develops after the film, with a softer friendship blossoming into romance. (And more touching. Lots of touching. And banter.)

These two are so good for mutual pining. Maybe Xenk thinks he can't be with anyone because of his duty as a paladin, or because the Beckoning Death has left him cursed, partially undead, lacking part of his soul, etc. Maybe Edgin finds out Xenk is a virgin and assumes the guy isn't interested in sex at all. (I do headcanon Xenk as a virgin.) Or Edgin thinks Xenk's too noble and pure to want a criminal like him, or thinks Xenk wants someone more serious or more intellectual. Xenk thinking Edgin's too charming and sociable to want someone as awkward and unbending as him... I love the angsty possibilities of all this, the two of them keeping their feelings secret even as they're practically bursting with longing. Especially as both of them are so touchy-feely! They must be torturing each other.

Xenk has recurring nightmares about the Beckoning Death. Edgin comforts him after one, either because he was on watch in camp, because they were forced to share a bed, or because they're already sleeping together.
Oh no, they just touched this magical artifact and now they have a telepathic soulbond! Does Xenk start thinking exclusively in Thayan so Edgin can't hear his pining? Does Edgin have to keep singing a song in his head so he doesn't start thinking about the way Xenk's touching him? Does the bond force Edgin to share Xenk's nightmares, and discover the true depths of his trauma? Do they end up having mindblowing telepathic sex?
Xenk keeps finding more and more excuses to hold Edgin's hand, and Edgin is running out of reasons to refuse...
