Adorable kitties!! I requested fic or art in four fandoms - some involving actual cats, some involving canonical cat shapeshifters, and some involving human characters transformed into cat(people). I'd love anything from the softest fluff, to feelsy hurt/comfort, to angst about whether the transformation might be permanent. (I want it to be temporary, but they can definitely worry!) I DNW sex while in animal form, but if you feel the urge to include smut after they've transformed back into themselves, go for it!
For art of characters transformed into cats/catpeople, I leave it up to you what they look like. However you think they're best represented! Fur colour, fur length, any markings, eye colour... Whatever makes you think, "yep, that's them."

I would love to see charming leader Edgin put in a vulnerable position when he's temporarily turned into a cat, and kind, stoic Xenk looking after him - especially if they're mutually pining, and the weirdness and intimacy of the situation both unsettles them and brings them closer. Xenk seemingly talked to that giant fish, so he presumably knows the Speak With Animals spell, which means they could still communicate - but Edgin relies so much on charming people, and plastering on a smile to hide his angst, so what happens when he can no longer do either of those and has to trust Xenk to protect him and find a cure?
Cat Curse Lifted with True Love A happy, shippy ending!
Cat!Character detransforms back into human while in other character's bed And maybe his clothes didn't transform with him, so now Xenk's got a naked Edgin in his bed.
A Takes Care of B When They're in Cat Form (Knows Cat is Actually Human) Protecting him, feeding him, reassuring him, carrying him around, or just taking him on a quest to turn him human again.
Transformed A Worried About Being Stuck As Cat; B Soothes Them With Strokes Edgin having a sad, vulnerable moment, and Xenk thinking comforting him with cat-appropriate strokes is better than struggling with words. (And he's right.)
Transformed Character Didn't Expect to Enjoy Being Stroked It's weird being a cat and weirder being petted, but it also... feels nice? And it's Xenk, which somehow makes it okay.
Transformed Character Embarrassed About Purring But Can't Help It Edgin's been trying to hide how he feels about Xenk, but now that he's a cat - and feeling especially vulnerable - when he gets a relaxing moment while being carried/being stroked/cuddling/falling asleep on Xenk's lap, Edgin can't stop himself from purring.
Transformed Character Must Rely on Love Interest Who Can Talk to Animals Speak With Animals, as above. It doesn't seem to work in the film the same way it does in the game, so feel free to have Xenk cast it once and have it last all day - unless you want to incorporate the drama of them needing to ration it. (Also, maybe Xenk sees Edgin's transformation, but maybe he doesn't - and Edgin has to annoy Xenk into casting the spell for the first time.)
Cat!Doric/Simon Aumar
I really like the idea of Doric interacting with the party in cat form, and finding it easier to be softer when she's like that. We do see a little bit of her softening towards Simon at the end of the film, but considering her angsty past she seems like she'd be the type to struggle with vulnerability, and maybe this would be a way for her to deal with that? But I'd love to see awkward, adorable Simon interacting with spiky, adorable cat Doric. No preference for whether she's the one giving affection/comfort or seeking it, I just want to see them growing closer through the magic of cats.

I love that moment on the beach, when Doric sits next to Edgin and pats him on the shoulder, and he pats her back. So I'd love something similar - but with added adorable catness. No preference for whether she's the one giving affection/comfort or seeking it.

She didn't really have time to get to know Kira during the film, so I'd love to see them bond while adventuring together afterwards. Considering her angsty past Doric seems like she'd be the type to struggle with vulnerability, whereas Kira - for all the big things that have happened to her recently - seems more open about things. And what girl can resist the cuteness of a fluffy cat? No preference for whether Doric is the one giving affection/comfort or seeking it.

So I'd love them to have a soft moment together, one they can maybe pretend "doesn't count" because she was a cat at the time. (But they still secretly have warm feelings about it, and each other.) No preference for whether Doric is the one giving affection/comfort or seeking it.

I know it's difficult to film with a cat, but I wish they'd done more with Fat Louie in the movies! So I'd love to see him and Mia together, any time from when she first gets him, through high school, college, during the plot of the second film, or once she becomes queen. Just Fat Louie being adorable and Mia appreciating that.

I'm imagining this as an AU of the second film, where Nicholas gets transformed by handwavey magic during their rivalry, and Mia's the only one who knows - and has to keep it a secret and figure out how to change him back before Mabrey discovers there's something wrong and goes ballistic. Looking for Nicholas being scared and vulnerable, but also suitably adorable. In the face of that, is Mia going to find it harder to be angry at him (and ignore her secret feelings) when he's so cute and so dependent on her to keep him safe?
(Feel free to include Fat Louie! Whether he's jealous of Mia smelling like cat!Nicholas, warily assessing this new cat in his space, or calmly accepting him and cuddling up, I'm very happy for him to be in the background.)

Transformed Character Embarrassed About Purring But Can't Help It They're supposed to be rivals! He's totally not in love with her! And yet... Nicholas just finds being around Mia so comfortable, even though he's a cat. And purring just happens.
Cat!Mayday Parker & Peter B. Parker
I loved seeing Peter's transformation into a proud, enthusiastic, affectionate dad, trying to wrangle the adorable escapologist Mayday - and what's better than a tiny agent of chaos but a tiny, furry agent of chaos? Basically I'd like something similar to the scene where she's climbing all over Spider-Society headquarters, but now she's been turned into a cat. Could be comedic, with Mayday escaping Peter's clutches as she causes chaos, or dramatic, with Peter trying to protect an oblivious Mayday from a supervillain - who really needs protection from her.
Character A Tries to Cure Transformed B; B Having Too Much Fun and Keeps Escaping Mayday was a slippery customer before, but now she's a cat and cats are liquid - so the hardest part of turning her human again is Peter getting her to stay still long enough.
Character Transformed Into Cat Accidentally Causes Chaos Whether at home, adventuring with the other Spiders, or during a face-off with a supervillain, Mayday's excited explorations cause some chaos - with no real consequences... except for the supervillain!
Catperson!James T. Kirk/Leonard "Bones" McCoy
I'd love to see Kirk trying to deal with temporarily being turned into a catperson - and Bones being his concerned doctor (and love interest) but with that terrible bedside manner, as usual. Banter, grumpiness, comedy about Kirk's new attributes/instincts, and/or angst about whether he's stuck like that (or mutual pining with a side of "clearly we can never be together now") all welcome. No preference as to how the transformation happens: could be an alien artifact, weird pollen, something a bad guy does to him... Just Kirk sprouting cat ears, a tail, claws and/or a bit of fur, and the two of them trying to navigate that - and it resulting in them getting together when he turns back?
Art of cat person being petted Maybe it's sweet but awkward, maybe it's plain cuteness, maybe Bones is as bad at petting as he is at verbal reassurance...

Cat!Character detransforms back into human while in other character's bed Maybe Kirk's new cat instincts lead him to seek that proximity? Leftover cat fur optional.
Magically transformed catperson embarrassed by new instinctual catlike behaviour Purring, flicking his tail, the urge to climb things or hunt things or sit in boxes, an inexplicable fascination with yarn or tiny objects... Kirk's embarrassed by it, but Bones reassures him it's normal. In his not very reassuring way.
Newly Transformed Catperson Undergoes Medical Examination Of course Bones would insist on it. And of course Kirk would resent it as much as he normally does. Could be purely comedic, or awkwardly intimate - but definitely with Bones' terrible bedside manner.
Transformed A Worried About Being Stuck As Cat; B Soothes Them With Strokes Stroking him just seems natural now Kirk's a catperson, and it definitely works. That doesn't mean it's not weird, when they're pining for each other.

Transformed Character Embarrassed About Purring But Can't Help It Yes, they're close, but Kirk's not entirely comfortable with this catperson thing. But during a quiet moment with Bones, the purrs just start.

I loved seeing adorable Chekov being calm and competent in the field in Beyond, and I'd really enjoy the role reversal of him having to take care of a Kirk who's been temporarily turned into a cat. Maybe they're trapped on an alien planet, separated from the rest of the crew? No preference as to how the transformation happens: could be an alien artifact, weird pollen, something a bad guy does to him... I just want to see Chekov being kind, gentle and determined (if maybe rather worried) while looking after an unexpectedly furry Kirk (who's probably very worried himself).

I loved seeing adorable Chekov being calm and competent in the field in Beyond, and I'd really enjoy the role reversal of him having to take care of a Kirk who's been temporarily turned into a cat. Maybe they're trapped on an alien planet, separated from the rest of the crew? No preference as to how the transformation happens: could be an alien artifact, weird pollen, something a bad guy does to him... I just want to see Chekov being kind, gentle and determined (if maybe rather worried) while looking after an unexpectedly furry Kirk (who's probably very worried himself).
A Takes Care of B When They're in Cat Form (Knows Cat is Actually Human) Chekov protect Kirk, carrying him around, as they try to find a cure and/or reunite with the rest of the crew.
Transformed A Worried About Being Stuck As Cat; B Soothes Them With Strokes Chekov hesitantly petting a clearly unhappy Kirk, who finds the physical touch unexpectedly reassuring.
Transformed Character Didn't Expect to Enjoy Being Stroked Being a cat is weird, and being petted by one of his subordinates is weirder, but it feels so nice and Chekov's being so kind that Kirk can't help enjoying it.
Transformed Character Embarrassed About Purring But Can't Help It It's instinct, but Kirk's still embarrassed by it - but Chekov's so sweet and delighted that Kirk can't feel too bad about it.
