forsworn. I requested fic or art for all variations - but some pairings I asked for always a 63 and some temporary 63, some general audiences or explicit, some only explicit; these are noted by the pairing. As well as smut, I love fluff, hurt/comfort and angst. Treats are welcome!
For canons where a rule 63 would have a big effect on the plot, I've provided a lot of questions and possibilities - feel free to deal with just one aspect, or delve into as much detail as you like. Or maybe there's a logical consequence I didn't mention but you're inspired by - I'd love to see what you come up with!
For temporarily a 63 scenarios, I'd prefer if they remain the same height and have the same haircut as before, and just their primary/secondary sex characteristics change. They can keep the same pronouns or change them, or be confused as to what they "should" do. Maybe they're totally fine with the change, or maybe they find it a bit weird, but I'm looking for fun smutty times rather than gender dysphoria.
For always a 63 scenarios, they could remain the same height and keep the same hair style... or they could grow/cut their hair, and/or a short woman could become short for a man, or a tall man become tall for a woman. (e.g. canon female Doric is tiny, and a male Doric might be short but closer to Simon's height; canon male Steve is tall, but a female Steve might be Diana's height or a little shorter, as Diana herself is so tall. ) For art, feel free to adapt one of their canon outfits, or design an entirely new one.

How much would it affect the plot of the first film if Steve was a woman - would she have found it difficult to get people to take her seriously as a female spy, maybe have struggled to get into the field at all? Maybe she went to the front as a non-combatant and then saw an opportunity? Has she experienced as much trauma, or less - or more? Did she have to crossdress as part of going undercover? (I'm not expecting super historical accuracy here, so go with whatever logic works for you.)
And how differently does Diana react to a female Steve? What about the other Amazons? Is their response less severe - do they allow Steve to explore Themyscira under guard? Maybe this Steve is less confident in her abilities, and seeing the Amazons allows her to believe she could be exceptional. Maybe Steve has never considered that a relationship with another woman is even possible, and it's Diana and her relaxed attitude to the idea that allows her to imagine it for the first time. Would their whole dynamic be different? Diana starts off as somewhat naive, despite her principles and determination, and male Steve worries about that even as he values her skills - but maybe Diana would take a more reassuring role to a less confident female Steve, and the balance between them would be different? Or maybe Steve's just the same and so's their dynamic! (How would Etta fit into this as well?) Show me how a scene plays out - or more, if you're inspired.
I'd love for them to get a happy ending, whether that's by changing the end of the first film, changing the second film, or through some magical means that happens in between. (True resurrection artifact? Soulmate magic? Reincarnation? Time travel?) Or you could handwave how it happens, and just show me them as a happy established couple. This could be a realistic depiction of a lesbian couple in the 1910s, keeping the truth hidden as they cohabit, or as this is comic book land maybe they find somewhere they can be themselves. Would love some domestic fluff, them being badasses in their daily lives, or maybe hurt/comfort with one or both of them having nightmares - struggling with the traumas of war. I opted into smut, so I'd love to see them explore sex together, maybe with Diana showing Steve what it's like to be with a woman, exploring kinks together - or as an established couple who already know how to give each other pleasure. Considering how gender affects absolutely every part of this film, how does it change if Frank is a woman too? I'd love her to be just as creepy, just as manipulative, just as unhealthily invested in her intellectual rivalry with Alice. I'm presuming she'd be a willing "wife" but still the driving force behind Victory, still absolutely believing in this worldview, still committed to making it a reality - but how does her expression of control and power change when she's viewed as the "lesser" sex? Are her cult-leader type tactics still as effective on misogynistic men, or does she rely on the support of a male Shelley (Sheldon?) to reinforce her edicts?
Alice is presumably still just as clever and determined. But if Frank is a wife, attending daily social events, does she wheedle her way into Alice's life without seeming like such a distant threat? How quickly would Alice suspect a woman she's used to shopping with, used to lounging next to at the pool - especially if Bunny is equally close to the two of them? Does Frank take Shelley's place as leader of the ballet class, and as a hostess, but as less of a cool authoritative figure and more intense, more emotionally involved? Does Frank calling Alice a "good girl" feel different in this context, or is it just as sexually charged? Does Frank still catch Alice and Jack in her bedroom - but now have the opportunity to wink and make dirty jokes the next day? Does Frank slowly manipulate Alice into bed, perhaps telling her that sex between women "doesn't count" so it's not cheating - or casting it as a way to please a voyeuristic Jack? Or maybe Frank just noncons Alice? There are so many ways that Alice's quest for the truth - and a conflicted attraction to Frank - could be impacted if Frank's a woman! Show me how a scene plays out - or more, if you're inspired.
For art, I'd love to see the "good girl" moment reimagined as femslash; Frank and Alice hanging out by the pool or at a party or at the shops; Frank invading Alice's personal space as she corrects her ballet posture; Frank pushing Alice against a wall to kiss her; a smutty scene, with or without Jack watching... And Mia still being just as delightfully awkward and clumsy, entirely unsure of how to deal with her, but sweet and caring and determined to be a good queen.
How does the plot of the movie change if Nicholas also needs to marry in order to claim the crown? Is she trying to convince Mia to choose love over duty, while racing towards the altar herself? Is she comfortable about making that sacrifice, or conflicted - and is Mia trying to convince her not to go through with it either? Does Mabrey need to manipulate Nicholas's emotions more to keep her going along with the plan - and does that mean she turns against him sooner? Did a female Nicholas never dance with Mia at her birthday ball, and so their relationship starts off differently?
Maybe a female Nicholas would be more alert to the unfairness of a queen needing to be married and campaign for that law to be changed, either at the deadline (instead of simply refusing the crown), or earlier on - maybe the conflict becomes Nicholas trying to convince Mia only a "true" Genovian should rule. Maybe the night that Mia and Nicholas spend together under the stars is Nicholas's last gesture towards love before she goes to get married in the morning - and it's Mia who ends up racing to stop Nicholas getting married. Or maybe they simply resolve the issue by marrying each other!
Or you could show me their future together as a lesbian couple. Dating while dealing with the paparazzi, cute fluffy domestic moments, Nicholas supporting Mia at public events... I did opt into smut, so you could show me their first time, or them exploring kinks, or confident lovemaking as an established couple. Maybe they deal with the need for an heir via sperm donation and IVF - and maybe Nicholas is the one to carry the baby? Does Mabrey need to manipulate Nicholas's emotions more to keep her going along with the plan - and does that mean she turns against him sooner? Did a female Nicholas never dance with Mia at her birthday ball, and so their relationship starts off differently?
Maybe a female Nicholas would be more alert to the unfairness of a queen needing to be married and campaign for that law to be changed, either at the deadline (instead of simply refusing the crown), or earlier on - maybe the conflict becomes Nicholas trying to convince Mia only a "true" Genovian should rule. Maybe the night that Mia and Nicholas spend together under the stars is Nicholas's last gesture towards love before she goes to get married in the morning - and it's Mia who ends up racing to stop Nicholas getting married. Or maybe they simply resolve the issue by marrying each other!
Or you could show me their future together as a lesbian couple. Dating while dealing with the paparazzi, cute fluffy domestic moments, Nicholas supporting Mia at public events...
