Frank Carlson xcons Alice Chambers
I loved the mindfuckery aspects of this film, and Frank was so compellingly creepy that I both wanted to run away and couldn't take my eyes off him. Their intellectual rivalry and mind games, with Frank daring Alice to work out what's really going on, sparked such good chemistry between them, and I'd love to see more in that vein - or maybe Frank alters Alice's memory to keep her unknowing and compliant, or just decides to take what he wants.
I'm fine with a missing scene or with canon divergence (Frank lives and Alice gets caught; Shelley escapes instead of Alice; Alice goes for a final showdown with Frank; etc). Considering the nature of the relationships in this canon, I have no problem with either Alice or Frank "cheating" on their partners. Also happy for Alice/Jack and Frank/Shelley to be happening in the background. Jack can be alive or dead but if Shelley exists I want her to survive. (Maybe Shelley escapes instead, and Frank decides to claim Alice in her place?)

I have so many feelings about these two. I love their banter and how they spark off each other, how Edgin sees Xenk as an enemy but then grows to respect him and doesn't want him to leave, how Xenk is frustrated with Edgin's criminal tendencies but fully believes in his goodness and is determined to draw it out... Making Edgin swear on the Harper's seal, then tenderly touching his hand? Yeah.
These two are so good for mutual pining. Maybe Xenk thinks he can't be with anyone because of his duty as a paladin, or because the Beckoning Death has left him cursed, partially undead, lacking part of his soul, etc. Maybe Edgin finds out Xenk is a virgin and assumes the guy isn't interested in sex at all. (I do headcanon Xenk as a virgin.) Or Edgin thinks Xenk's too noble and pure to want a criminal like him, or thinks Xenk wants someone more serious or more intellectual. Maybe Xenk thinks Edgin's too charming and sociable to want someone as awkward and unbending as him... So they both end up suppressing their feelings, assuming the other doesn't reciprocate, and refusing to make a move - until something pushes them into having sex.

I love Doric's spiky bluntness contrasted with Xenk's stern kindness, and how they're balanced by a shared sense of justice. Now that there's an earnest bond between them, what happens when something pushes them into having sex? Maybe Doric's practical about the idea, even if she wouldn't have chosen it, but it's her first time and turns out to be more intense than she expected. Maybe Edgin's been suppressing his attraction because of the age difference, not wanting to take advantage of Doric, but he realises the best way to protect her in this precarious situation is to fuck her.

I love that Edgin is so convinced of Simon's potential badassery, and he's determined to make Simon believe it too - and this, for some reason, involves touching Simon's face a lot. Maybe when something pushes them into sex, he'd continue that earnest encouragement, gently and tenderly guiding Simon through it. Or maybe he'd be reluctant to initiate it, wracked with guilt at the thought of hurting his young friend - the same reason he kept quiet about his attraction to him.
Simon is so awkward and nervous, especially when it comes to romance - and that makes me wonder if he's a virgin. I love how kind Xenk is, how much he tries to help people even though the world hasn't been kind to him. Dralas is almost a dark reflection of Xenk: what he could have become if the Beckoning Death had fully sunk its claws into him. Has Xenk always pitied Dralas, or feared him? In contrast to the compassion and encouragement Xenk shows everyone else, Dralas is the one person that Xenk calls "loathsome"... Is Xenk conflicted about treating Dralas so negatively, or does he feel it's justified? Dralas seems almost teasing during their conversation. Does he enjoy getting a rise out of the stoic paladin?
Maybe Dralas is sick of their rivalry and decides to teach Xenk a lesson, or punish him for not submitting to Szass Tam. Maybe he's got a cruel streak and just wants to see Xenk hurting, even break him. Maybe he captures Edgin, and agrees to let him go if Xenk will lie down for him. Or maybe a physical fight just escalates wildly, beyond anything Dralas planned to do.
(If you go for a post-film setting, it's fine to mention that Dralas survived being eaten by Themberchaud and that it wasn't pleasant, but I don't want any further details!)

I love that Forge genuinely cares about Edgin, wants good things for him, enjoys spending time with him... and yet will quite happily ruin Edgin's life if it enriches his own. And he doesn't see any contradiction in that! That's so deliciously complicated. I can easily see that escalating to Forge forcing himself on Edgin, either as punishment for defeating him last time or because he's always been attracted to Edgin and no longer sees a reason to resist.
Obviously they have a history together, and maybe Edgin thought of Forge as a friend he could trust - but maybe they'd had some kind of dalliance? A drunken hookup or two, or even friends with benefits? Either way, the betrayal makes the experience worse for him. One of my favourite things about Edgin is how he uses charm, humour and false smiles to cover up his pain, and maybe he tries that tactic here - but Forge knows him too well, and sees right through it?
Or maybe this is pre-Korinn's Keep and Forge doesn't want to reveal his villainy yet. But he's never managed to get Edgin into bed... so he's very happy to twist their friendship into a situation where Edgin has a reduced ability (or desire) to refuse him, and Forge maintains a caring mask even as he manipulates Edgin beyond his boundaries - and (mostly?) convinces Edgin that none of it was Forge's fault.

Edgin's made some bad decisions and he's got a load of trauma, but at heart he's a good guy who just wants to keep his people safe. He's kind, he's encouraging, he's a leader who cares. But not every prisoner in Revel's End has a soft side...
Maybe when Edgin and Holga first get sent to Revel's End they aren't put in a cell together, and Edgin's cellmate(s) decide to have some fun with him. Maybe the other prisoners find out he was a Harper and corner him alone to exact revenge. Maybe all these criminals are bored and horny, and pretty Edgin isn't strong enough to fend them off. Whatever the reason, one or more of his fellow prisoners force themselves on poor Edgin.
One of my favourite things about Edgin is how he uses charm, humour and false smiles to cover up his pain - but he fell apart when he lost Zia, so how long can he keep that mask up in the face of this experience? And can he scrape it back together afterwards - or not? (Holga rescuing Edgin and platonically comforting him is very welcome.)

I love the dynamic between steady, hopeful Pike and charming, rebellious Kirk. The caring captain and the almost reckless young man he plucked from the floor of a bar. Pike saw something in Kirk when he didn't want to see it in himself, but got him to believe it too. They respect each other's bravery and determination, but there's also a tension between them: Pike encourages Kirk's heroics yet demands he follow the rules; Kirk wants his approval, but rebellion's a habit he finds hard to give up.
There's this push and pull as they try to carve out their roles, and maybe that could come into play when something forces them to fuck: the tension of not wanting to cross the line or blur the boundaries of their professional roles, countered by the knowledge that giving in is the best way to protect each other. Maybe with the added frisson of a secret attraction, and the guilt of aching to shatter those boundaries after all. The age difference, and the question of whether Pike is going to make Kirk a better man or just screw him up even more, adds another layer of delicious complexity. So even if it's an omegaverse heat or randomly occurring sex pollen, and they have the option to refuse, that doesn't mean it'll be pure fluff when they choose sex over suffering. (Or maybe it does?)

Chekov is so fucking adorable. I love his earnest enthusiasm, his innocence, and his extreme competency despite his age - and how that fits with Kirk, who's older, more traumatised, and chafes against the rules, but strives to protect his crew. They work so well together, and I really enjoyed how much of Beyond was just the two of them out in the wilds, with a slightly more mature Chekov showing he can handle himself in the field.
When something pushes them into having sex, I can see Kirk's captainly urges to keep people safe translating into him being soft and tender with Chekov, wanting to make the experience as positive as possible for him. But maybe he's started developing feelings for Chekov, and the same reluctance to confess to his young ensign means he's roiling with guilt and hesitant to cross the line. Maybe Chekov is trying to be brave or practical, despite being inexperienced or even a virgin, but the situation turns out to be more intense than he expected. Whether they're forced by bad guys, or simply think sex is a better option than suffering through sex pollen or an omegaverse heat, I'd love to see them band together and trust each other with the intimate situation. Maybe it's uncomfortable being so vulnerable, or maybe it results in pure fluff.

These two literally sang a duet that was basically a love song, right after opening up about their childhood losses, and their left turn towards enmity just heightened the tension between them. I'd love a missing scene during the canon plotline, or a Villain Wins AU where corrupted Magnifico dives headlong into darkness, or an AU where Asha became his apprentice after all - whether Magnifico is a manipulative master, or a softer and more caring one.
I did find Magnifico pretty ambiguous, like they couldn't decide what his motivation was. Like whether he was a purely evil villain powered by arrogance and a need for control, or whether he was a sympathetic antagonist crushed by the pressure of kingship and past trauma. Either one could lead to intense and interesting scenarios with Asha: sympathetic Magnifico guiding Asha through an uncomfortable situation neither one of them would have chosen; or evil Magnifico manipulating Asha into intimate situations that leave her unsettled, blurring the boundaries of the appropriate and the taboo - or simply taking what he wants, whatever protests she makes.
Please either make this an AU where Asha is already 18, or have a time skip so she's an adult. I can easily see that escalating to Forge forcing himself on Edgin, either as punishment for defeating him last time or because he's always been attracted to Edgin and no longer sees a reason to resist.

Maybe the other prisoners find out he was a Harper and corner him alone to exact revenge. Maybe all these criminals are bored and horny, and pretty Edgin isn't strong enough to fend them off. Whatever the reason, one or more of his fellow prisoners force themselves on poor Edgin.
One of my favourite things about Edgin is how he uses charm, humour and false smiles to cover up his pain - but he fell apart when he lost Zia, so how long can he keep that mask up in the face of this experience? And can he scrape it back together afterwards - or not? (Holga rescuing Edgin and platonically comforting him is very welcome.)

I love the dynamic between steady, hopeful Pike and charming, rebellious Kirk. The caring captain and the almost reckless young man he plucked from the floor of a bar. Pike saw something in Kirk when he didn't want to see it in himself, but got him to believe it too. They respect each other's bravery and determination, but there's also a tension between them: Pike encourages Kirk's heroics yet demands he follow the rules; Kirk wants his approval, but rebellion's a habit he finds hard to give up.
There's this push and pull as they try to carve out their roles, and maybe that could come into play when something forces them to fuck: the tension of not wanting to cross the line or blur the boundaries of their professional roles, countered by the knowledge that giving in is the best way to protect each other. Maybe with the added frisson of a secret attraction, and the guilt of aching to shatter those boundaries after all. The age difference, and the question of whether Pike is going to make Kirk a better man or just screw him up even more, adds another layer of delicious complexity. So even if it's an omegaverse heat or randomly occurring sex pollen, and they have the option to refuse, that doesn't mean it'll be pure fluff when they choose sex over suffering. (Or maybe it does?)

Chekov is so fucking adorable. I love his earnest enthusiasm, his innocence, and his extreme competency despite his age - and how that fits with Kirk, who's older, more traumatised, and chafes against the rules, but strives to protect his crew. They work so well together, and I really enjoyed how much of Beyond was just the two of them out in the wilds, with a slightly more mature Chekov showing he can handle himself in the field.
When something pushes them into having sex, I can see Kirk's captainly urges to keep people safe translating into him being soft and tender with Chekov, wanting to make the experience as positive as possible for him. But maybe he's started developing feelings for Chekov, and the same reluctance to confess to his young ensign means he's roiling with guilt and hesitant to cross the line. Maybe Chekov is trying to be brave or practical, despite being inexperienced or even a virgin, but the situation turns out to be more intense than he expected. Whether they're forced by bad guys, or simply think sex is a better option than suffering through sex pollen or an omegaverse heat, I'd love to see them band together and trust each other with the intimate situation. Maybe it's uncomfortable being so vulnerable, or maybe it results in pure fluff.

These two literally sang a duet that was basically a love song, right after opening up about their childhood losses, and their left turn towards enmity just heightened the tension between them. I'd love a missing scene during the canon plotline, or a Villain Wins AU where corrupted Magnifico dives headlong into darkness, or an AU where Asha became his apprentice after all - whether Magnifico is a manipulative master, or a softer and more caring one.
I did find Magnifico pretty ambiguous, like they couldn't decide what his motivation was. Like whether he was a purely evil villain powered by arrogance and a need for control, or whether he was a sympathetic antagonist crushed by the pressure of kingship and past trauma. Either one could lead to intense and interesting scenarios with Asha: sympathetic Magnifico guiding Asha through an uncomfortable situation neither one of them would have chosen; or evil Magnifico manipulating Asha into intimate situations that leave her unsettled, blurring the boundaries of the appropriate and the taboo - or simply taking what he wants, whatever protests she makes.
Please either make this an AU where Asha is already 18, or have a time skip so she's an adult. For situations towards the softer/dubcon side, I'd prefer Magnifico and Amaya having an open relationship, or an AU where they were never a couple. But if this is more on the noncon/unrepentant manipulative Magnifico side, I'm fine with him cheating on Amaya too.
