Paul Atreides/Duncan Idaho
I was sold on these two from that very first hug. Their power dynamic is complicated and intriguing: Duncan is older, stronger, a more skilled warrior, and Paul's combat tutor - but Paul is the heir to House Atreides and capable of using the Voice. And there seems such genuine affection between them. I love how Duncan teases Paul, but also calls him "my boy"... And this exchange: "Can I trust you with something?" "Always. You know that." Omfg. I am all about the trust, loyalty and duty here - on both sides.
And Duncan really is so loyal, so devoted, willing to sacrifice everything for House Atreides. He's a deeply honourable man, dependable and trustworthy enough to be Paul's confidante - enough to be sent to the Fremen, where he develops so much respect for their way of life. With Paul, he's mostly playful, but he does have a serious side - in official meetings, and in that moment Paul prophesies his death. But maybe all of that honour and strong spirit leads him to repressing his feelings, determined to protect Paul from any pain he might accidentally inflict? Because he has twenty years of life experience on Paul, with all the scars that grants - physical and emotional.
I love how soft and sweet Paul can be - his teases with Duncan, openly hugging Thufir - but I also enjoy his harder, harsher aspects. He's determined, a survivor, even ruthless - he literally doesn't blink at that hunter-seeker, his whimpers at the painbox transmute to a steely defiance. And Paul takes his duties seriously, following Leto's example as a protective leader - but being the ducal heir also gives Paul an edge of pride, even petulance, so offended by the Reverend Mother dismissing Jessica, of forcing him to kneel. And he still has a little teenage moodiness, telling Gurney he doesn't feel like sparring. With Duncan, my main focus for Paul is him being playful and/or a serious student, and I'm happy for you to stick to that side of him - but I do love the nuance of his flaws if you want to include those.
The two of them have such a beautiful bond - but there are definite obstacles to a relationship between them. No doubt Paul is expected to make a political match, and Duncan hardly fits the image of a polished concubine. What kind of relationship do they, can they, hope to have? Maybe it starts as a mentorship-with-benefits thing, Duncan giving Paul a way to explore sex with someone he trusts - and then feelings develop. Or maybe they hide their feelings, mutually pining, convinced that the other one wouldn't (shouldn't) be interested in them. Maybe they think they can never be together - because of the age difference, or the power difference, or because Leto would never approve. And it'd be understandable if Leto was suspicious - but maybe Duncan could convince him that he'd never hurt or unduly influence Paul, or Paul could convince Leto that his feelings for Duncan are strong and genuine?
If it isn't a full setting change AU, I'm mainly looking for something set just before canon, or maybe early in the first film, once Duncan returns from the Fremen - before everything goes to shit on Arrakis. DNW underage, but Paul's age is ambiguous, so I will happily assume he's over 18 at that point. (But as he's still young, and there don't seem to be any people his own age around Castle Caladan, I can see Paul still being a virgin.) DNW Duncan dying either, so feel free to avert that - or to not parallel that plotline at all in a full setting change AU, though you're also welcome to have a prophecy about his death that isn't fulfilled by the end of the fic. I'm fine with Paul having had a crush on Duncan before he turned 18, but please don't have Duncan thinking of Paul that way before he's an adult. Other than that, feel free to delve into the age difference as much as you want!

Dune already has some magic-like powers, but I'd love to see it translated to a high fantasy setting. Is loyal knight Duncan training prince Paul in swordfighting, helping ready him to one day rule the lush Kingdom of Caladan? Or maybe he's teaching Paul magic - whether that's similar to the Voice or the prophetic gift, or something completely different to the canonverse. Maybe spies from the rival Kingdom of Harkonnen succeed in assassinating Leto, but Duncan foils the attempt on Paul's life. Without the overwhelming technology of the scifi future, how does the Harkonnen coup go? Does Paul still have to go into hiding, protected by Duncan till he can make a glorious return? Does Paul manage to hold onto his throne, with Duncan becoming the trusted advisor to the grieving young king, as whispers of further Harkonnen plots swirl? Do the Harkonnens invade with a land-based army, forcing Paul to raise arms and face them, supported by bodyguard Duncan? Maybe the logistic difficulties of war - or Paul's protective magic - mean the Harkonnens can only grumble from a distance, and Paul gets to continue happier times with Duncan, as Leto safely rules on. Whether a quieter slice-of-life focus on Duncan training Paul, or epic themes about fighting for Caladan, I'd love to see their relationship in a more fantastical setting.
I love omegaverse, especially alpha/omega, and the tropes that come with that - the sex pollenlike nature of heats, the shades of dom/sub, the scents that communicate their feelings. I really want to see them indulging those instincts in bed - without changing their personalities outside the bedroom. (Although highlighting different facets of their existing personality is fine, e.g. ducal alpha Paul vs vulnerable omega Paul.) But I also love the more emotional ways those instincts can steer them when they're not having sex.
I'm equally interested in both alpha Paul/omega Duncan and alpha Duncan/omega Paul. Maybe alpha Paul is desperate to protect Duncan, but doesn't want to disrespect the omega warrior, even as those prophetic dreams gnaw at him. Maybe omega Paul trains hard to prove he's capable of being duke - but when Duncan's teaching him, the authority in that alpha voice sets his heart fluttering. Maybe alpha Duncan feels guilty as he starts to see Paul in a new light, believing it's his duty to protect his beloved omega's innocence, even at the cost of his own heart. Maybe omega Duncan has always fought to prove he's more capable than all those alphas - and is shocked when delicate alpha Paul starts to stir an urge to submit.
Whichever way you assign the roles, maybe the proximity and exertion of a sparring session means their scents fill the air - till neither of them can ignore the tenderness they're inhaling. Or maybe one of them is injured, and as the alpha pulls him close, the omega can't help but let his vulnerability and yearning slip into his scent? Maybe the omega goes into heat, but neither of them wants to take advantage of the other, so the alpha just holds the omega close - letting him smell his scent, soothing him as they resist the urge to fuck. Or maybe they'd already agreed to share the heat, and gladly satisfy those needs together. (But does Paul have to wear a gag to prevent him accidentally making demands with the Voice during that overwhelming experience?) Maybe Caladan has a coming of age ceremony after an individual turns 18, and Paul asks Duncan to be his partner for the ritual sex. Maybe they've already gotten together, and sex is now a regular thing. But a knot is still intense and intimate - especially if they decide it's time for a mating bite. Or maybe they just like to cuddle up and fall asleep wrapped in each other's scents amidst all the lurking threat of the Harkonnens.

Edgin Darvis/Xenk Yendar
These two have such a great dynamic. I love their banter and how they spark with each other - Xenk and his literal mind bouncing off Edgin's usual wordplay, still prompting smiles in each other, even as they clash over Edgin's thievery and Xenk's paladin ways. That contrast somehow settles to a comfortable blend, with Edgin reluctant for Xenk to leave. And I love how touchyfeely they are - Edgin in general, and Xenk with all his (offers of) handholding... Pressing his hand to Edgin's on the Harper's seal, pulling him up after saving him, their earnest handshake as they prepare to part. So much touching! And so much banter! But they also challenge each other to grow, and I'd love to see how their relationship develops, with a softer friendship blossoming into romance.
Despite his 20 minutes of screentime, Edgin's narrative arc is so bound up with Xenk. Edgin's been projecting this image of a cheerful, charming leader for so long, hiding his deep trauma over Zia with quips and songs. He's focused all of his pain into hating the Red Wizards, blaming Thayans for his loss - maybe because it's easier than blaming himself. But then he meets Xenk, a Thayan so noble and innocent that it shatters Edgin's foundation. And Edgin can't even console himself with the idea that anyone in his position would've been tempted by that gold - because again, Xenk is so pure and moral, and proves that people can be better. Even makes Edgin promise to be more than a common thief, reigniting his old Harper heroism. Xenk is the pivot point of Edgin's growth and healing.
Xenk's own angst is mostly implied, a subtext to the fascinating details we get. He's a paladin, a holy warrior, so strict in protecting others - but he's also a Thayan, a hated outsider, visibly marked by necromantic magic. I love the tension in him being both blessed and cursed. Does Xenk feel the need to be the perfect paladin to balance out the terrible opinions people have about Thayans? Once people have accepted his cursed nature, do they tend to place him on a pedestal, glorifying him as a legendary paladin instead? He glides away from the crowd's praise after saving that catbaby; his retort to Edgin's anti-Thayan sentiment is not to defend himself, but to speak of other Thayans, innocents turned into monsters. Does he think of himself as a monster? But Xenk is so kind and caring, risking himself to save Edgin - and so stern and serious, rigidly sticking to his moral framework. Does he feel bound by his duty, by his paladin vows - even to the point of repressing his own wants, needs and hopes? Does he feel he has to earn his own humanity, by so harshly rejecting his own partially undead nature, by being such a paragon of virtue? Does Xenk feel like he can't be less than perfect? Maybe his insistence that Edgin can be a better man is a reflection of Xenk's need to believe in his own goodness.
With all of those worries swirling around, these two could slip so deep into mutual pining. Maybe Xenk thinks he can't be with anyone because of his duty as a paladin, or because the Beckoning Death has left him cursed, partially undead, lacking part of his soul, etc. Maybe Edgin finds out Xenk is a virgin and assumes the guy isn't interested in sex at all. (I do headcanon Xenk as a virgin.) Or Edgin thinks Xenk's too noble and pure to want a criminal like him, or thinks Xenk wants someone more serious or more intellectual. Xenk thinking Edgin's too charming and sociable to want someone as awkward and unbending as him... I love the angsty possibilities of all this, the two of them keeping their feelings secret even as they're practically bursting with longing. And when combined with their touchyfeely natures - they must be torturing each other!
Established relationship and getting together both welcome. Edgin's lingering angst over Zia is fine. Or you could do some angst focusing on that mutual pining, or some physical hurt/comfort, or soft fluff, or fun tropes - maybe as part of a new adventure for them. If there's smut, happy for it to be vanilla or kinky, fully consensual or dubcon (sex pollen, fuck-or-die, bad guys made them do it, omegaverse heat, etc) I'm open to both autistic Xenk and/or ADHD Edgin, or neurotypical depictions. I mainly see Xenk as being sworn to justice, as a general concept, rather than a specific god - but feel free to pick one, if it suits the themes of your work. (Like, Ilmater is a great choice if Xenk is suffering, whether in whump or in sexy painplay.) And feel free to include any or all of the party!

But I also love the more emotional ways those instincts can steer them when they're not having sex.
I'm equally interested in both alpha Edgin/omega Xenk and alpha Xenk/omega Edgin. Maybe omega Xenk has always resisted his urges, believing his vows or his curse keep him apart, or maybe worrying about being so vulnerable with someone. But whenever Edgin goes into Harper mode, and starts giving out orders, maybe Xenk's heart starts beating faster. Maybe alpha Edgin has an intense urge to protect Xenk, and is frustrated with the way the omega keeps throwing himself into danger. But after losing Zia, maybe Edgin's not ready to open up to someone else - thinking he couldn't protect strong omega Xenk more than Xenk himself already does?
Maybe alpha Xenk has always channelled his protective instincts into his paladin duties, and is unsettled and overwhelmed by the sudden need to look after Edgin in a different way. Maybe omega Edgin is happy being a charming and flirty bard, but his trauma over Zia means he hasn't shared his heart as well as his body - and he's refused to let anyone knot him. But stern, kind Xenk is stirring up forgotten feelings in him, and maybe bantering is Edgin's way of rebuffing that?
Whichever way you assign the roles, maybe they have to hide in a closet together during a heist, and the proximity means their scents fill the air - and neither of them can ignore the tenderness they're inhaling. Or maybe it's an overwhelmingly strong heat, and the omega needs a knot to dull the pain, so the alpha gently guides them through their first time together - whether they discuss their feelings before the act, during, or afterwards? Maybe they've already gotten together, and sex is now a regular thing. But a heat is still intense and intimate - especially if they decide it's time for a mating bite. Or maybe they just like to cuddle up and fall asleep wrapped in each other's scents after a long day adventuring.
I love the version where the pistil gets a flower every time they have sex, and when their vines/branches fill up they just shed all the flowers and start afresh. The version where a pistil only gets one flower per partner, and their tattoo grows every time it fills up, can be really interesting with some plots too. Not into the version where having a lot of sexual partners eventually kills you. I also love the version where there's no pistil/stamen division, and everyone has vines/branches on their back and their own flower on their chest, and both partners grow a flower on their back when they have sex. Venom stamens (and anti-stamens/anti-pistils) are welcome if you want some drama.
I love the trope of magical tattoos, but I'm also interested in how they shape people's attitudes towards their own sex lives, influence their behaviour, and how having a visible record of intimate encounters might affect how they display themselves to others - or not.
Maybe Edgin flirts with a lot of people, and Xenk's always assumed he sleeps around a lot, but maybe when he sees his tattoo it's just the same flower over and over - or Xenk catches Edgin looking at his own reflection, sadly staring at Zia's flower, and they have a tender moment together. Maybe Xenk is worried that losing his own virginity, and gaining a flower, would compromise the purity of his paladin vows. Or maybe the Beckoning Death warped his tattoo, twisting the vines towards the shape of Szass Tam's mark, and Xenk fears it's poisoned him and sleeping with anyone would kill him - or made him a venom pistamen, who would poison any partner, binding them to him. And he's unaware that pining Edgin would happily commit.
Maybe sex pollen - or an omegaverse heat, a fuck or die situation, or some other dubcon thing - pushes them into having sex, and they both angst about Xenk bearing Edgin's flower, until one of them confesses their feelings. Maybe Edgin's always feared taking other partners, in case he fills his tattoo and sheds Zia's flowers, but his new feelings for Xenk mean he's finally ready to let go. Or maybe it's a one-flower-per-partner scenario, and Edgin did sleep around - until he had one night with venom stamen Forge, and now can't fuck anyone else without dying. Except Xenk is an anti-stamen/anti-pistamen, and he solemnly offers to cure him. Or maybe Edgin and Xenk just have a tender and intimate encounter after confessing their feelings, and exchanging flowers is a positive experience. There are so many choices they could make in a pistilverse, and I'm fascinated by what those would be.

Henry Hart & Piper Hart
Across the seasons and as they grow, these two go through so many stages, and I'm fascinated by all of them. Initially, Piper is the screechy, volatile foil to goofy, earnest Henry - the tattletale that threatens his exciting new job, but also the anchor of his protective urges. As Henry settles into being a sidekick, he grows in confidence - more openly fond of her, more prone to flashes of mischief, even as he becomes more secretive and scarred; while Piper learns to control her outbursts, becoming more emotionally steady, settling into scathing wit and calmer demands - that playful annoyance blending to a fresh balance between them. Then as the stress and trauma really starts to weigh on Henry, his personal life suffering under the burdens of his superhero duties, Piper blooms to a new maturity - confident and polished as a popular influencer, rising as he struggles. And finally, when Piper becomes Henry's confidante at last, her forceful personality and frustrating persistence make her a practical and reliable ally - just as her brother faces his biggest tests. I have so many feelings about it all. Their sibling relationship feels so real to me - sometimes fighting, often bickering, usually weary of each other, but always backed by an unshakeable foundation of affection.
Henry's care for Piper is especially obvious and I find that adorable. For a cheeky teenage boy, he tells Piper he loves her surprisingly often - and surprisingly sincerely. Whenever Piper is threatened, Henry is immediately horrified and desperate to save her; he's a superhero sidekick who saves people every day, but Piper is the one he's most consistently (and most intensely) protective of. No matter how much she gets on his nerves, when Piper really needs him Henry will leap to her defence. And when she's sad, Henry is soft and tenderly reassuring, even when he still fears her temper - his gentle talk with her at the start of JAM Session is so cute. Despite their friction, Piper really brings out his sweet side. Carefully supporting her in Spoiler Alert! Coaching her basketball team! Guiding her when she's sleepwalking in Holey Moley! Breaking down in Danger Games after zapping her! I just love how much he loves her, even when she makes it hard, even when his life is hard.
Obviously their parents and the wider Hart family dynamic influences their sibling relationship. The plot demands that Kris and Jake be oblivious, because otherwise Henry couldn't hide his secret life, and that neglect is played for comedy - but that undercurrent has real impact on their children's personalities. Kris and Jake are inconsistent with both affection and discipline - sometimes draconian, sometimes permissive, sometimes loving, sometimes distant. Not only do they take days to notice one of their kids has vanished, but they're often absent themselves, physically or emotionally - Kris is frequently away, clearly cheating on Jake. Sometimes they force their kids to act like the parents. And sometimes they rise above the sitcom jokery to undeniably horrible treatment: in Charlotte Gets Ghosted, we're told they shut Henry and Piper in one bedroom, gave them food then confiscated that food, leaving them locked in together overnight, just to throw a party. The show might dance around it, Kris and Jake may frequently be amusing, but they are not good parents. Is it any wonder that Piper is so unruly, so desperate for attention, so judgemental of Henry when she grew up in that atmosphere?
Piper is such an abrasive character but I genuinely love her, even when she's being a brat. She is just always so completely herself. But under that bravado, there's a heart-tugging vulnerability - she's aching for affection, for validation, so concerned with chasing superficial status and ephemeral fame that she rebuffs her brother's earnest tenderness. I have so many feelings about that scene where Henry shows Piper his Fred Lobster shirt, so eager to display his pride in her, but she can't see the gesture as anything but deeply uncool - yet still gleefully clasps his hand when her commercial comes on. There's such a great tension in Piper worshipping the cool hero Kid Danger while dismissing Henry as a tragic dork - and it's only when she learns his secret that she can really understand and appreciate the whole person her brother is. And I love the bond they develop after that - it's so good to see them just hanging out and drinking soda together in Remember the Crimes. But even before that, while Henry is mostly the one showing affection, Piper does have her moments - like offering to invite her friends so he can throw a cooler party. And whenever he comforts her and she opens up to him, that shows how deeply she trusts him. Who else in her life has earned that? And she might not know it, but he's also the person she'll eagerly go to bat for - jumping into the firing line to help Kid Danger in Spoiler Alert, Stuck in Two Holes, Diamonds are for Heather, The Great Cactus Con... and even moreso once she joins the team. Their relationship is tender, messy, supportive, challenging, ever changing, always strong - I love all of those aspects separately, and in combination, at every stage we see across the years.
This show often has its characters behave callously for comedic effect - being dismissive, ignoring hurts - and I'm fine with a little of that. But ultimately I want to feel that they care about each other, even if Piper is being bratty - or Henry is frustrated with her. Likewise I'm fine with comedic portrayals of their parents, ignoring the dark subtext there, but you're also welcome to depict Kris and Jake as neglectful and/or emotionally abusive. (Up to the level of Charlotte Gets Ghosted, or thereabouts; I'd prefer it not be unrelentingly dark though, as I think it's important that Kris and Jake can be affectionate at other times, even if the better periods are only implied.) But I DNW any mention of young Piper's crush on Kid Danger, even as a joke; please pretend that never happened. Platonic affection is great though - from casual "love you!"s, to meaningful ones, to holding hands, cheek kisses or forehead kisses, hugs or cuddling - there's some of that in canon, but you're welcome to push it further. Even Piper trying to soothe an injured Henry, or Henry carrying an injured Piper in his arms - you can go harder on the hurt than Nickelodeon could, but please no gore or anything really terrible happening, especially to young Piper. As well as hurt/comfort, I'd love some fluff, or angst with a happy ending, or canon-typical adventures. I just want more of Henry and Piper being siblings.
[prompts in progress]
Hogwarts is still such a cosy world for me and I love the idea of my blorbos as students there. I will eat up the inclusion of familiar worldbuilding, from small details sprinkled throughout - like them eating Bertie Botts' Every Flavour Beans or chocolate frogs, frantically scribbling homework in the common room, receiving owl post, etc - to bigger events like Quidditch matches, the house cup, visiting Hogsmeade, or dealing with dramatic plots outside of lessons.
Do Henry and Piper get put in the same house, and keep annoying each other in the common room? Or maybe they're in different ones, and bicker about who's going to win the house cup - but when Piper struggles to get the hang of riding a broom, Henry gently steps in to offer her secret tutoring. (Or maybe, as Piper has a driver's license and Henry needed a gadget to drive during the musical, it's Piper who sharply tutors an awkward Henry!) Maybe they both decide to sneak out and wander the corridors after curfew - and bump into each other, leading them to be suspicious about what the other is up to. Maybe their parents go on vacation, forcing Henry and Piper to stay at Hogwarts over the holidays, and they bond a little in the emptier castle. Maybe Henry's secretly learning how to be an animagus from Ray (who's either a teacher or an older student) and Piper finds out - and demands to be included, otherwise she'll snitch on them! Or maybe Henry's visiting Hogsmeade with Charlotte and Jasper - and bumps into Piper there, who's definitely not old enough to be allowed out yet - but she blackmails him into keeping silent, and now he has to figure out how to sneak Piper back into the castle without any of them getting caught? There are so many possibilities here!
I love the trope of magical tattoos, and I love platonic kisses on the cheek or forehead, so this is a great AU for me. Maybe the flowers appear immediately, maybe there's a delay - do they need to sleep for at least three hours first? Maybe it's only possible to have one kiss flower from each person at a time, so the next kiss will cause it to move, or maybe they can collect multiple - even if there's still a limit, like maybe three. I also like the idea that all children's kisses appear as buds, till they turn eighteen and find out their specific flower, but I'm also happy for the marks to always be full flowers because there's some great symbolism in the language of flowers. And I'm really interested in how kisses being publicly visible could affect society and people's attitude towards physical affection.
[in progress]
Piper finding out Henry's secret causes such a change in their relationship - allowing them to make a genuine and positive connection for the first time. Once she joins the Man Cave crew, they get to spend so much time just hanging out and having fun together, and I love seeing that. But that mostly happens in the background - once the initial shock is resolved, there's not really any focus given to how they feel about each other now. Obviously the show wanted to preserve the status quo, so Piper's Rolling Thunder thing had to be a failure,

Henry Hart/Ray Manchester
Whatever's going on here, these two are clearly more than hero and sidekick. They can't keep their hands off each other - touching shoulders, clutching wrists, hugging - and they're both blase about Henry climbing across Ray's body. They're completely on each other's wavelength, always quipping and egging each other on. They're a team, they're in their own world, separate from everyone else and special to each other. They literally say "I love you"! The shippy vibes start ridic and just continually escalate, it's unhinged. So many times I've paused to go "wait, did they really" - and yes, they really. None of this was an accident. By the Danger Force era, it might be played for laughs, but it's clearly not a joke. Henry and Ray is framed as a romance and we're meant to see it.
The first episode says Henry is completely average, but he's clearly so much more. He's charming, though often goofy. He's not a genius, but he's adaptable and quick on his feet. He's sweet and caring, though sometimes smug. And he's brave, even self-sacrificing, giving up his childhood to be Kid Danger - willing to give his life for Ray. Plus, like, you've seen grown up Henry, right? Holy shit, no wonder Ray drools all over himself.
Ray is weirdly likeable, though he's immature, arrogant, volatile and selfish - often oblivious or thoughtless, but rarely malicious. I'd prefer a "jerk with a heart of gold" interpretation; I don't want him taking advantage of Henry on purpose. When crunchtime comes, he will put others first - before Henry threw him off that blimp, Ray was insistent he'd be the martyr. And under that manchild veneer, I think there's complexity lurking. After being densitised at eight years old, Ray's father isolated him for superhero training. Does that mean he has difficulty relating to anyone outside of a hero-rescuee structure? Does being so removed mean he struggles with empathy? Maybe it explains why he's so afraid of ageing - he doesn't want to admit that the childhood he never had is over - and why his scale of what's appropriate for a teenage sidekick is so, well, inappropriate.
This show often has its characters behave callously for comedic effect - being dismissive, ignoring hurts - and I'm fine with a little of that. But ultimately I want to feel that they care about each other, so please have them be kind if the problem is serious. (This applies to Charlotte, Jasper, Schwoz and Piper too - and you're welcome to include any of them. Though it's fine to depict Henry's parents as neglectful and/or emotionally abusive. Please don't include Piper's crush on Kid Danger though.) My favourite villains are Drex, Dr Minyak, Jeff, and Kyle, but feel free to invent your own villain instead, if relevant. And you're welcome to have them menacing Henry - I love how much he gets held up by his throat - or to use the implication that Drex/Ray had a thing.
I don't want Henry and Ray getting together before Henry is 17 (though it's fine if Henry has feelings before that) and I don't want them having sex before Henry is 18 (though kissing is welcome). Ray reflexively calling Henry "kid" is fine, even during sex, as long as it's clear Henry is an adult - though if it is during sex, I'd expect Henry to disapprove. (I'm not looking for ageplay or agekink here.) But I'm fine with acknowledging there are unhealthy aspects to their relationship, and the age difference, though I don't want it to be damaging - I want to believe they can build something positive. And if that's unrealistic, well, it's a show about superheroes. Getting together and established relationship both welcome - as are fluff, smut, hurt/comfort, angsty mutual pining, and canon-typical adventures or tropey shenanigans.
[prompts in progress]
I'd love to see their superhero adventures translated to a high fantasy world, using magic to defeat evildoers.

I love omegaverse, especially alpha/omega, and the tropes that come with that - the sex pollenlike nature of heats, the shades of dom/sub, the scents that communicate their feelings. I really want to see them indulging those instincts in bed - without changing their personalities outside the bedroom. (Although highlighting different facets of their existing personality is fine, e.g. protective alpha Henry vs caring omega Henry.) But I also love the more emotional ways those instincts can steer them when they're not having sex.
I'm equally interested in both alpha Ray/omega Henry and alpha Henry/omega Ray - though I feel like omega Henry suits his fragility during season 5 while alpha Henry blends more with his confidence during the Danger Force era. But it could be fun to invert that, with nervous alpha Henry struggling after he comes of age, or omega Ray learning to be vulnerable as he processes his trauma during Danger Force. Either way, the superhero tropes go so well with those themes of protective claiming, and the dominance questions could cast new light on Henry and Ray's tendency to swap which of them is acting as the responsible adult.
Whichever way you assign the roles, maybe they hide in a closet together during a stakeout (or get locked in a small space by a villain again) and the proximity means their scents fill the air - and neither of them can ignore the signals they're inhaling. Maybe omega Henry gets injured, and as alpha Ray holds him even closer than usual, Henry can't help but let his vulnerability and yearning slip into his scent? Or maybe the densitiser somehow messed with Ray's ability to interpret scents, so he's blithely oblivious to Henry's signals despite their complete lack of personal space - leading Henry to believe Ray must know he's pining for him, and thus Ray must not reciprocate, while Ray is blundering around with absolutely zero idea.
Maybe the omega goes into heat, but neither of them wants to take advantage of the other, so the alpha just holds the omega close - letting him smell his scent, soothing him as they resist the urge to fuck. Or maybe it's an overwhelmingly strong heat, and the omega needs a knot to dull the pain, so they agree to a tender (or unexpectedly vulnerable) first time - whether they discuss their feelings before the act, during, or afterwards? Maybe they've already gotten together, and sex is now a regular thing. But a heat is still intense and intimate - especially if they decide it's time for a mating bite. Or maybe they just like to cuddle up and fall asleep wrapped in each other's scents after an exhausting night of saving people.
Considering Henry didn't even have time to attend school, and hasn't had a girlfriend since he was fourteen, he's presumably still a virgin at eighteen - is he embarrassed about not having any flowers? Especially if superhero shenanigans somehow result in Ray seeing him shirtless - but maybe Ray playfully offers to give Henry his mark? Or maybe they're already dating, but despite his horny urges, Henry is worried about being intimate with Ray - because what if his parents accidentally see that he has a flower now, and get suspicious? Or he worries about Kid Danger's costume getting ripped, and exposing that mark to the world - because what if someone recognises it? The reporter Evelyn Hall did go on two dates with Captain Man, after all... Or maybe some supervillain plot pushes Henry and Ray into a dubcon scenario, and they both enjoy the sex - but maybe Ray feels guilty that Henry is now marked with his flower. Or maybe they're happily together - but Henry's canon tendency to be jealous when people flirt with Ray becomes a desperate urge to fuck him as many times as quickly as possible, to fill up Ray's vines so he'll shed all previous flowers belonging to other people, so he'll only bear Henry's mark in the future? There are so many choices they could make in a pistilverse, and I'm fascinated by what those would be.

Theodore "Laurie" Laurence/Amy March
I already knew these two were endgame, but this was the first version of Little Women I consumed and it's basically the Laurie/Amy truther version, and the ship completely grabbed me. I have so many feelings about their arc: little Amy pining for her big sister's best friend, lonely Laurie slotting right into their family like a brother even as he pines for Jo... then Laurie and Amy reuniting in Europe as adults, with all those childhood years giving them such a comfortable rapport. Only now Amy is a clear-eyed woman dealing with the difficult questions of marriage, and Laurie's struggling with his heartbreak.
I love their gentle, awkward, prickly edging towards open affection - and I love that Amy is so determined to be practical, but still being swayed by her feelings. She's seen the best of Laurie and refuses to let him be his worst - after all, if she can live with unrequited love, why can't he? And I love that she refuses to surrender to her own girlish crush and accept his first flimsy suggestion of feelings - forcing them both to assess what they really want, and to come to each other afresh, in a moment of genuine emotion and honesty. And despite the loss of Beth, they seem so happy together! Laurie practically glows as he talks about Amy.
I'm fine with past unrequited Laurie/Jo, but you don't have to mention that ship at all, if you don't want to.

Theodore "Laurie" Laurence & Amy March & Beth March & Jo March & Meg March
I love big families, with all the complex intertwined relationships that result, and I love how Laurie blended into that. The girls are all so different but so similar at the same time, and I love the contrasts and parallels between them - like how they all have a creative outlet, but in different spheres. And I had so many feelings about them drawing lonely orphan Laurie into that, turning him into almost a brother figure. The March household seemed so cosy, always so full of homely activity and love - even when they were arguing. I definitely got the impression Laurie was pining to be part of their family - and to stay part of it as they grew up. And who could blame him? All the fun of putting on plays, going ice skating, secret meetings in the attic, matching keys for a private letterbox, celebrating Christmas together... And all four sisters seem fond of Laurie - even shy Beth was happy for Laurie to hug an arm around her when they were preparing to send Marmee to nurse their father.
You don't have to feature them all equally, it's fine to focus more on one or two of them. Laurie's unrequited crush on Jo and Amy's (currently) unrequited crush on Laurie are fine to include in the background, but please keep the focus on the sense of them as a group. And you're welcome to have Laurie's grandfather, Marmee, and/or Mr March etc appear as well!
I'm not requesting these individually, but feel free to incorporate any of the following into my requested AUs: Beth lives; trans masc, genderqueer or nonbinary Jo; genderqueer or nonbinary Laurie; aromantic and/or asexual Jo, and/or Jo remaining happily single; aromantic and/or asexual Beth.
Are all five of them in the same house - maybe Gryffindor, or Hufflepuff? Do they relax and read and bicker together in the common room? Maybe the girls swap beds with other students so they can create a March family dorm - and then try to sneak Laurie past the enchantments for a sleepover? Or are they in different houses - maybe Beth is a Hufflepuff, and Jo and Amy are both driven Slytherins together?
[in progress]
I love soulmate tropes and I love the idea that these five characters have a platonic group bond. (Though it's fine for Amy/Laurie to also be romantic soulmates, or to have a romance in a world where only platonic soulmates can be identified.) Maybe they share dreams, maybe they have a faint telepathic or empathic link, maybe they simply feel an understanding or a pull towards each other. Maybe they all have the same symbol - on the wrist, or over their hearts - and so didn't know there should be five of them, but maybe the girls had a vague sense there was something missing before they got to know Laurie? Or maybe each has a symbol representing the other four, or even has their names, and so they were always on the lookout? Did they pull Laurie into their family because they discovered he's their soulmate - or did they befriend him first, and were delighted when they saw his mark? Does that new bond feel innately right to shy Beth, or is she wary of opening up to Laurie? Are soulmate bonds socially accepted - or do they have to keep it a secret, because it's scandalous for girls to have even a platonic connection to a boy who's not a blood relative? Does lonely Laurie find the sudden intensity of this new family overwhelming, or does its permanence reassure him - or make him even more determined to hold onto it, if it has to be hidden?

Nicholas Devereaux/Mia Thermopolis
This is such a great example of enemies to lovers. I love that they're kind and flirty at their first meeting, because they're immediately attracted to each other, and that even once they're enemies they can't hide that sexual tension. But their enmity is based on both seeking something only one of them can have rather than ideological differences: Nicholas seems more motivated by whether Mia's going to be a good queen and whether she really knows Genovia (and by his uncle's influence), and not a personal hunger for power. So once he's convinced of her capability (and she of his sincerity) and he gives up his claim to the crown, there's no question about whether they'd be able to find common ground.
I love both the push-and-pull of Nicholas flirting and Mia trying to resist (in the closet, by the fountain, the deleted scene in the kitchen) as well as them being soft and friendly with each other: Nicholas supporting Mia by helping with her archery, and the night they spend together before her wedding where we see them opening up emotionally, dancing close, and falling asleep in each other's arms. I'd love some more of that, whether as part of an established relationship, or them getting together in a full setting change AU.
I liked Andrew as a character so no bashing of him please, and it's fine to have Mia/Andrew's unromantic engagement happening in the background or to show them amicably breaking up - or to create an AU without paralleling the arranged marriage plotline. Also happy for Clarisse/Joe to be in the background, or for Lilly to visit again. Or cute appearances by Fat Louie the cat or Maurice the dog!
[prompts in progress]
What if Genovia existed in a magical world instead? You could do a plot similar to the movie, with Mia and Nicholas as rival heirs to the crown - but what changes once magic is involved? Instead of archery, maybe there are magical trials that Mia has to undergo? Is Mabrey trying to sabotage her progress - and does Nicholas end up helping her? Maybe they end up on a quest together, because Nicholas is searching for the same magical artifact, but they slowly merge from rivals to allies?
Instead of an arranged marriage to Andrew, is there a tournament to win Mia's hand - and does Nicholas end up competing? (And winning? But maybe first he gets injured, resulting in some unexpectedly tender hurt/comfort with Mia?) Maybe it's not a law that unmarried queens can't rule - maybe the crown itself is magical, and would reject her, and so Nicholas has to marry her. (And they have to consummate that marriage in a magical ceremony, even in public?) What kind of duties does Queen Mia have to undertake once she has the crown, and how can Nicholas help her with them?
Or you could do a plot that's much more different to canon. Maybe they're dragon riders, competing to be the new leader of their battalion? Rival students at Clarisse's magic academy? Maybe Mia's protesting Mabrey chopping down a magical forest, and Nicholas slowly comes to agree with her? (Maybe Mia's even a druid with nature magic.) Or clumsy Mia breaks an artifact or interrupts a ritual, and unleashes some dangerous magic - and Nicholas is the bantery knight assigned to help her set things right. If it fits with your idea and your world, you could even slip some daemons in here - or make them soulmates! (Soulmarks! Shared dreams!) But I just want to see the Mia/Nicholas dynamic with added magic, whether it's spells or artifacts or just a wondrous world.

ALL: High Fantasy
ALL: Omegaverse AU - Alpha/Omega

ALL: Omegaverse AU - Alpha/Omega
I love omegaverse, especially alpha/omega, and the tropes that come with that - the sex pollenlike nature of heats, the shades of dom/sub, the scents that communicate their feelings. I really want to see them indulging those instincts in bed - without changing their personalities outside the bedroom. (Although highlighting different facets of their existing personality is fine, e.g. protective alpha Xenk vs caring omega Xenk.) But I also love the more emotional ways those instincts can steer them when they're not having sex.
ALL: Pistilverse

ALL: Harry Potter AU - Hogwarts Setting
ALL: Pistilverse - Kisses Cause Temporary Flower Marks at Site of Kiss (Kisstilverse)

Henry Danger: Piper discovers Henry is Kid Danger earlier than in canon

ALL: High Fantasy
I'd love to see their superhero adventures translated to a high fantasy world, using magic to defeat evildoers.

(Although highlighting different facets of their existing personality is fine, e.g. protective alpha Henry vs caring omega Henry.) But I also love the more emotional ways those instincts can steer them when they're not having sex.

I love the trope of magical tattoos, but I'm also interested in how they shape people's attitudes towards their own sex lives, influence their behaviour, and how having a visible record of intimate encounters might affect how they display themselves to others - or not.

Are all five of them in the same house - maybe Gryffindor, or Hufflepuff? Do they relax and read and bicker together in the common room?

ALL: High Fantasy
