Ambessa Medarda & Mel Medarda
Ambessa's political beliefs lead her to mould her daughter in uncomfortable ways - pushing empathetic Mel towards actions she's unsettled by, all in the name of strength. But determined Mel has other ways to be strong.

They have such fun sibling energy. I love both their early dynamic, with little rich girl Caitlyn trailing after dream-filled Jayce, and their later dynamic as confident and successful adults. Fluffy, silly or tinged with angst; pre-canon or a missing scene anywhere during either season.

It's part mentorship and part manipulation, with strongwilled Caitlyn slowly losing her footing, and mature Ambessa discovering she doesn't hold all the cards. Feel free to delve into their darkness, or to keep to an undercurrent of tension.

These two didn't get to interact much but I loved the energy between them, and I think a romance would be really fun and interesting. They're both strong, powerful women with complicated pasts, and I think they'd understand each other - and maybe give each other hope.

I love these two as enemies with secret feelings, but also as a soft couple. Ekko is so kind, so strong, so self-sacrificing, and I think guilt-ravaged Jinx needs that. But he needs that tenderness too. Pre-relationship is fine!

I love how these two supported each other, and that they found some softness together among all their burdens. I think they can be adorable together. But I also like the hints of confident politician Mel steering oblivious newbie Jayce into moral greyness. Pre-relationship is fine!

(Please make this a full triad and not a V - though it's fine if Mel and Viktor start as metamours.)

Cosy days in the lab - excited brainstorming, eating lunch together, huddling close over the same notebook, or chatting about other topics...
Late nights in the lab - one falling asleep and the other laying a blanket over him, or both of them falling asleep together...
Attending the Young Innovators competition.
Viktor always has a sharp word when someone assumes he needs help - but when he struggles, he can't resent the casual way Jayce looks after him.
Post-canon adventure(s) as they hop between dimensions. Or build a cosy life together in whichever world they land in.
Jinx & Viktor
These two both have such strong personalities and such sassy dialogue - I'd love to see them sparking off each other. But they have some angsty parallels too. Maybe they could reach (or attempt) a softer understanding?

Fifteenth Doctor/Rogue
I love the little arc these two had - suspicion to mistaken arrest to hesitant trust to vulnerable feelings to a grand sacrifice. And flirting and bantering through it all. With a dance! And a kiss! It's more than I could've hoped for, but I so want to see their romance resume.
The Doctor rescues Rogue and takes him to a beautiful relaxing planet to recover.
Rogue has recurring nightmares about his time stuck in the empty dimension.
They accidentally land on a planet devoted entirely to weddings.
Hostile aliens magically handcuff the Doctor and Rogue together.
Explosions! Running! Saving the world! Rogue joins the Doctor for a normal adventure.

Doric & Edgin Darvis & Holga Kilgore & Kira Darvis & Simon Aumar & Xenk Yendar
I love all of these characters and would love to see them as a big found family going on adventures together - or the quieter, more everyday moments between them. Could be dramatic or fluffy, silly or serious!
Fond banter as they travel on horseback, set up camp for the night, explore a ruin, get kidnapped by cultists, or...
They encounter a trap or puzzle in a dungeon and try to solve it.
Eating together in a tavern, or around the campfire.
Visiting a market full of interesting wares, or a vibrant festival.
Simon's wild magic causes chaos.
Doric & Kira Darvis
In a future where the party all become heroic adventurers together, I like to think these two would both consider each other part of that found family. Doric's spiky, but she's kind underneath; Kira's experienced some trauma recently, but she's still sweet and earnest. I do think they'd get along.

Both of them lost their families and are visibly outsiders, and I think they'd understand each other in a way the others might not. And I think they'd enjoy each other's honesty. I'd love to see them develop a soft and supportive friendship.
Enjoying the some natural beauty together - maybe as Doric explains all the plant species and birdcalls to Xenk.

These two are so cute. I love the combination of awkward, sarcastic Simon and spiky, principled Doric. Simon is head over heels for her - and she perked up every time he did some impressive magic. All she needed was him to gain some confidence - and now he has, I think they'll work really well together.
Having a picnic in a beautiful meadow, or an autumnal forest, or by a stunning waterfall, or...
Doric turns into a big fluffy animal so Simon can huddle up for warmth.
Simon is soft and understanding when Doric opens up about her family trauma.
They're the perfect team on the battlefield - or while implementing a heist.

Platonic life partners! They might (fondly) bicker, but they care about each other so much - they're family, and they're loyal through anything, even two years of prison. Both of them have angsty pasts - Edgin hiding his behind a smile, Holga behind gruffness - and I'd love to see some hesitant vulnerability between them. Or some silliness! Pre-canon, missing scene, or post-canon all fine.
Gleefully planning - or implementing - a bit of thievery together.
A strange relic creates a telepathic link between them... and Edgin's got a song stuck in his head.

I love that Holga is so deeply part of the Darvis family, and I'd love to see Zia incorporated too. I really think Holga and Zia would get along - bonding over their affection for Kira, if nothing else. But maybe they'd also team up to keep Edgin under control? Serious or silly, I'd just love to see them all being family.
Edgin finds a new way to resurrect Zia, and they have to navigate this new family setup.
Or Holga was never stabbed, and Edgin used the Table of Reawakening on Zia.
Edgin never stole the Red Wizard's treasure. The Darvises still meet (and adopt) Holga in the tavern that night.

But would they think a relationship is impossible, and mutually pine? Love their banter, their handholding, and their possibility for tenderness.

Edgin and Xenk have been together for a while... when Edgin finds a way to bring Zia back.
AU: Edgin never stole the Red Wizard's treasure, and stayed a Harper. He gets assigned to work with Xenk.

I have so many feelings about Holga being Kira's mother. Gruff Holga is at her softest with Kira - calling her Bug, giving her hugs, teaching her to walk... and Kira is so sweet and openly loving in return. Kira doesn't blame Holga for their separation, but they'll still need to reconnect. Pre-canon or post-canon both welcome.

These two must've been travelling together as part of Edgin's gang for years. I like to think they have a cute sibling-type relationship. Was little Kira one of the few to look up to awkward Simon? What's their dynamic now he's more confident - and she's more emotionally scarred?

Kira is sweet and earnest, but has to be haunted by two years without Edgin and Holga - and Forge's betrayal. Xenk is awkward and literal - but he's so kind that I'm sure he'd win Kira over. I'd love to see a soft and gentle bond between them. Fine with this either in the context of Xenk/Edgin, or just Xenk joining the party as a friend.

Simon Aumar & Xenk Yendar
These two have such different styles of communcation - sarcastic vs literal - but I feel like they'd really bond, given enough time. Maybe they'd each worry that the other doesn't like them, but I'd love to see them established a firm and mutual friendship. Xenk would be gentle with Simon's self-confidence issues, and Simon doesn't care about Xenk being an undeadish Thayan. I think they could be really soft and fun together.
Xenk seeks out a rare book on magic to gift to Simon.
Completing a dungeon together, just the two of them, helps them bond as a team.
One of Simon's spells misfires - and creates a telepathic link between them. But at least now Xenk knows when Simon's being sarcastic...

Mia Thermopolis/Nicholas Devereaux
I love the push-and-pull tension of them as rivals, and their sweeter side that night they danced under the stars. Nicholas had realistic objections to Mia's rule, but she proved she's up to it - and he fully believes in her after that. As someone trained to be king, I think Nicholas would know exactly how to support Mia, and they'd make a great royal couple - and adorable partners in private.
Nicholas bakes something delicious for Mia - or gives her a hands-on baking lesson.
One of Mia's clumsy moments gives her a painful bruise or twisted ankle. Nicholas looks after her.
Having a midnight picnic on their first anniversary.
Nicholas gets sick and Mia looks after him, or Nicholas looks after Mia when she's pregnant.

Celebrimbor & Elrond Peredhel
From initial respect and admiration, these two built such a lovely, soft friendship. They work so well as a team, with Elrond helping Celebrimbor achieve his goals, and Celebrimbor gently encouraging Elrond. I loved their loyalty and their trust. A missing scene or a canon divergent AU would be great.

His magic is full of wonder as well as danger, and I'd love to see them supporting each other as they quest across this big, wide world. A missing scene or future adventures both welcome.
They discover an odd new plant and its fruit turns out to be delicious.
A visit to a magical spring leaves Nori and the Stranger with an unexpected soulbond.
The Stranger accidentally turns himself into a cute little animal. Nori looks after him till he turns back.

James T. Kirk/Leonard "Bones" McCoy
Bantery best friends! There's so much loyalty and trust here, even when they're grumping at each other. I love grumpy-but-caring Bones trying to keep a handle on charming-but-reckless Kirk. I think they'd make a great couple, whether they get together at the Academy or once aboard the Enterprise.
They share a dorm at the Academy... and have to huddle for warmth one winter night when the heating breaks.
Kirk gets hit by cuddle pollen. Unfortunately he's also mildly allergic to it.
Bones doesn't know why Kirk has started coughing up petals, but he's determined to figure out a cure.
Kirk has a nightmare and Bones comforts him.
When they're exposed to a truth serum, they discover the one secret they've both been keeping: their mutual pining.
Kirk tries to find a planet so beautiful and relaxing that even Bones can't grouse through their shore leave.
James T. Kirk/Leonard "Bones" McCoy/Spock
Charming, reckless Kirk; grumpy, caring Bones; logical, repressed Spock. I love the dynamic they form together, bantering but supporting each other, blending their skills to save the day. They might struggle to admit it, but there's so much respect between them - and affection too. Don't mind if they all get together at once, or if two are a couple and bring in the third.

An alien artifact magically handcuffs all three of them together.
Trapped on a snow planet, they have to huddle for warmth till rescue arrives.

Christopher Pike/James T. Kirk
Pike was the first person to believe in Kirk - and the one who got him to believe in himself. I love that mentorship, and all the hope that gives to traumatised Kirk, but I also love Kirk rescuing Pike from Nero. There's a mutual respect and trust - but would the age difference and power dynamic leave one or both of them conflicted about making a move?
Kirk stayed as Pike's First Officer on the Enterprise.

I love the push-and-pull of Spock valiantly advising Kirk, who values his input but also constantly grates against it - they balance each other, but there's a fascinating friction too.

As someone trained to be king, I think Nicholas would know exactly how to support Mia, and they'd make a great royal couple - and adorable partners in private.

Their friendship is just adorable. I love tiny, sparky Nori looking after the gangly, confused Stranger - and his urge to protect her in turn. His magic is full of wonder as well as danger, and I'd love to see them supporting each other as they quest across this big, wide world. A missing scene or future adventures both welcome.

Bantery best friends! There's so much loyalty and trust here, even when they're grumping at each other. I love grumpy-but-caring Bones trying to keep a handle on charming-but-reckless Kirk. I think they'd make a great couple, whether they get together at the Academy or once aboard the Enterprise.
They share a dorm at the Academy... and have to huddle for warmth one winter night when the heating breaks.
Kirk gets hit by cuddle pollen. Unfortunately he's also mildly allergic to it.
Bones doesn't know why Kirk has started coughing up petals, but he's determined to figure out a cure.

They might struggle to admit it, but there's so much respect between them - and affection too. Don't mind if they all get together at once, or if two are a couple and bring in the third.

I love that mentorship, and all the hope that gives to traumatised Kirk, but I also love Kirk rescuing Pike from Nero. There's a mutual respect and trust - but would the age difference and power dynamic leave one or both of them conflicted about making a move?
Kirk stayed as Pike's First Officer on the Enterprise.
Pike survived Khan's attack. Kirk helps take care of him as he recovers.

I love the clash between reserved, logical Spock and charming, reckless Kirk - and the way they respect and support each other too. They both have such angst and trauma, even if Spock represses everything. I love the push-and-pull of Spock valiantly advising Kirk, who values his input but also constantly grates against it - they balance each other, but there's a fascinating friction too.

These two have such a fun dynamic: sassy leader Jack rebelling against authority, caring academic Daniel making sharp comments. But even when they bicker, they's such loyalty and affection between them.

The loyalty and trust here is incredible. After one day, Teal'c was so convinced of Jack's worthiness that he swapped sides, left behind his whole life, and never wavered from that choice. And Jack valued and respected Teal'c - as an ally and a friend. I'd love some tender feelings to develop between them.
Teal'c has to look after Jack and get him to safety when he's injured during a mission.
