I loved the mindfuckery aspects of this film, and Frank was so compellingly creepy that I both wanted to run away and couldn't take my eyes off him. Their intellectual rivalry and mind games, with Frank daring Alice to work out what's really going on, sparked such good chemistry between them, and I'd love to see that vibe continue with captive Alice - or maybe Frank alters Alice's memory to keep her unknowing and compliant. If you want to do smut, I'm happy for it to be anywhere from noncon to dubcon to fully consensual (if maybe conflicted and/or filled with shame). Alice could be kept prisoner inside Victory, or maybe Frank takes her captive in the real world, keeping her in his house (or in his bed) for easy access?

Considering the nature of the relationships in this canon, I have no problem with either Alice or Frank "cheating" on their partners. Mentions of (past) Alice/Jack and Frank/Shelley are fine. Jack can be alive or dead, or you can kill him off again, but if Shelley exists I want her to survive. (Maybe Shelley escapes instead, and Frank decides to claim Alice in her place?)

Doric/Xenk Yendar

We don't really get any focused moments between these two in the film, but Doric actually seems like the least hostile to Xenk from the beginning - ironic considering her stance on humans started as "hateful and selfish" and "just can't help but lie"... but then Xenk and his ridiculous paladin goodness are so obviously the opposite of that! If Xenk joined the party for further adventures, I like to imagine they'd become good friends, and then fall in love (maybe after mutually pining). Or maybe just gently looking after each other during a dubcon scenario.

I love Doric's combination of a sharp tongue with her moral integrity and intense environmental concern, and how that contrasts and blends with Xenk's stern intensity, his awkward ways, and his own intense sense of justice and goodness. They're both visibly outsiders in ways the others aren't, so maybe they would have a natural understanding - or they'd bond over the angst of losing their families because of it. And between their outsider status and Xenk's sense of duty, I tend to imagine they're both virgins.

Edgin Darvis/Doric

While trying to recruit her, Edgin was definitely using all his charm (although not in a sexual way) but Doric seemed utterly immune to it. I loved the tender moment when Edgin was sitting on the rock on the beach: his little smile as she walked over, the way she gently patted his shoulder and he patted hers in return, and she smiled back. Maybe his charm would be more welcome now they have a genuine connection, or maybe she'd be the one to instigate it.

I love that Doric is so committed to doing good and looking after nature, but that she doesn't let the rules stand in her way. And she has a very sharp tongue, in contrast to Edgin's silver one. Edgin thinks of himself as a thief and a lawbreaker, and is maybe trying to pretend he doesn't enjoy doing good as much as he actually does. He uses humour and a charming mask to hide his pain, but Doric absolutely doesn't fall for it - even if she'll be soft when he finally lets himself be vulnerable. But is she prepared to be vulnerable in return? I'm happy for this to be either a romantic ship, or casual sex/FWB/Edgin gently looking after Doric in a dubcon scenario, especially if her tiefling status means she's still a virgin.

I can't tell you how excited I was to see a canon male-female relationship that will explicitly only ever be platonic, and yet is vitally important to their lives. I love how they clearly care for and respect each other, despite being so different, and how they use their different skills to achieve their goals together.

You could set this during their canon imprisonment in Revel's End, or maybe another time they got arrested (and then escaped?) as thieves, or a post-canon scenario where they get captured by baddies while adventuring - or are suspected of more thievery. It could be an angsty scenario as they comfort each other, or something sillier. I just want to see them bantering, working together, protecting each other, being best friends and co-parents. I love seeing little hints of affection peeking through Holga's gruffness, and I love Edgin feeling secure enough to drop his cheerful mask. But I also love their more humorous aspects, teasing each other in the full confidence of their strong bond.

I have so many feelings about these two. I love their banter and how they spark off each other, how Edgin sees Xenk as an enemy but then grows to respect him and doesn't want him to leave, how Xenk is frustrated with Edgin's criminal tendencies but fully believes in his goodness and is determined to draw it out... Making Edgin swear on the Harper's seal, then tenderly touching his hand? In fact, all of the hand-holding, and the offers of hand-holding. I'd love to see how their relationship develops after the film, with a softer friendship blossoming into romance. (And more touching. Lots of touching. And banter.)

These two are so good for mutual pining. Maybe Xenk thinks he can't be with anyone because of his duty as a paladin, or because the Beckoning Death has left him cursed, partially undead, lacking part of his soul, etc. Maybe Edgin finds out Xenk is a virgin and assumes the guy isn't interested in sex at all. (I do headcanon Xenk as a virgin.) Or Edgin thinks Xenk's too noble and pure to want a criminal like him, or thinks Xenk wants someone more serious or more intellectual. Xenk thinking Edgin's too charming and sociable to want someone as awkward and unbending as him... I love the angsty possibilities of all this, the two of them keeping their feelings secret even as they're practically bursting with longing. Especially as both of them are so touchy-feely! They must be torturing each other.

The party have a found family vibe, and I've always been interested in how that manifests between Simon and Kira specifically. It's not clear exactly how long Simon was with them before Korinn's Keep, but it could easily have been a couple of years, maybe more. I tend to imagine him filling a big brother type role for her; maybe she was even young enough that Simon's fail sorcery seemed impressive to her? Now they're reunited post-canon, she's a little older, maybe carrying some trauma but definitely still vulnerable - even if she tries to pretend otherwise. How has their dynamic changed with Simon's newfound confidence?

I'd love to see a scenario where they get captured during an adventure, and Simon tries to reassure Kira while they wait for the others to rescue them - even if he's secretly also worried himself.

I'm fine with this being either in the context of background Xenk/Edgin or just Xenk joining the party and becoming their friend. I want all the super soft platonic or familial feelings here, with maybe a bit of angst due to Kira's time with Forge. After her experience there, Kira might be hesitant to bond with Xenk - but I'd love to see him winning her over with some gentle attention. Whatever her scars, whatever Edgin might've said about Thayans in the past, and however stern Xenk might initially appear, his innate goodness is so incredibly obvious that even a slightly fragile t(w)een girl is going to see it pretty quick... and maybe find herself relying on it when they get captured during an adventure, and have to wait for the others to rescue them.

Simon Aumar/Doric

Both of them have angsty pasts: Doric as a tiefling rejected by her parents, who's visibly an outsider wherever she goes; Simon as a sorcerer trying to live up to his family's long legacy of wizardry. Plus, as a half-elf, wherever he was raised, he was probably too human for the elves and too elven for the humans. As they get to know each other better, it'd be great to see them open up to each other about these things. Maybe being imprisoned would bring some of that vulnerability to the surface? I love how soft Simon gets around Doric and I'd love to see her showing a softer side to him in return - even if she still has that sharp tongue.

This could be something angsty, something with a hurt/comfort vibe, something sillier, or something smutty - whether they're relying on their established sexual relationship for a bit of comfort, or whether a dubcon scenario pushes them to have sex for the first time. I tend to imagine Simon is a virgin, due to all his awkwardness at romance, and considering how disliked tieflings are Doric might be one too. But maybe she has some experience, and confidently reassures a nervous Simon? Or maybe they've already settled into a sexual routine, and know exactly what the other one likes.

I love how Edgin is absolutely convinced of Simon's potential badassery (he has a mental list of all the times Simon's magic worked!) and how he's determined to make Simon believe it too - and this, for some reason, involves touching Simon's face a lot. Simon is awkward and sulky in the face of this, even though he's perfectly willing to trust Edgin and follow his lead in other areas - maybe Simon is pining, and can't let himself believe that Edgin cares about him, or is worried about opening his heart? Depending on the situation, maybe Edgin feels too weird about the age difference, and doesn't want to take advantage of Simon... until imprisonment pushes them together.

I enjoy this as a romantic ship, but also as FWB/casual sex, or charming Edgin gently looking after nervous Simon in a dubcon scenario - especially if Simon is a virgin, which I tend to assume is true considering how awkward he is. Could be set post-canon, with them captured during an adventure, or pre-Korinn's Keep, with them arrested while thieving - or maybe an AU where Simon gets sent to Revel's End with Edgin instead of Holga.

In the film, Simon mostly seems to get on Xenk's nerves (being sarcastic! destroying the bridge!) but he's not doing it on purpose and I really think if they spent more time together they could become good friends - and then fall in love. Despite his initial jealousy, Simon is eager for Xenk to stay at the end. Under his sarcasm, his awkwardness, and his occasional sulkiness, Simon is rather sweet and kinda adorable. And once you see past his stern manner and paladin morals, Xenk is kind and actually sorta awkward too.

I like the idea that they're both a bit dorky, deeply interested in niche subjects, in a way none of the others understand. But I think they could find some common ground. But maybe Simon worries that Xenk doesn't like him, or doesn't respect him? And Xenk isn't great at social interaction, so he might not realise Simon feels that way, or might not know how to explain that he actually does care. Potentially some angst there, but I'd also love something sillier - or some hurt/comfort, or smut. I can see them both as virgins (due to Simon's awkwardness and Xenk's duty/angst) and maybe worries about intimacy would result in mutual pining - or an intense experience during some dubcon, with Xenk gently trying to look after nervous Simon, even as Xenk himself is a bit overwhelmed.

I love Bones and his sassy grumpiness, and how under that he clearly cares (though possibly he wishes he didn't). Kirk starts off rebellious and traumatised, but obviously has a keen mind and an urge to protect people. Really enjoy both Bones despairing at young, reckless, flirty Kirk, and the more tender moments once Kirk mellows into a slightly-more-responsible captain, like when they're sharing the booze that Bones stole from Chekov.

Do they mutually pine over each other in silence, with Bones maybe believing Kirk isn't even into men? Or does Kirk proposition him while they're still at the academy and they become friends with benefits? How long does it take them to admit they have feelings and they want more? Or maybe it's only after they're already on their five year mission when they start to see each other that way - do their experiences while imprisoned by aliens push them to confess?

Pavel Chekov/James T. Kirk

Chekov is so fucking adorable. I love his earnest enthusiasm, his innocence, and his extreme competency despite his age - and how that fits with Kirk, who's older, more traumatised, and chafes against the rules, but strives to protect his crew. They work so well together, and I really enjoyed how much of Beyond was just the two of them out in the wilds, with a slightly more mature Chekov showing he can handle himself in the field.

I'd love to see them deal with being captured by aliens. Could be established relationship, or them mutually pining, with captainly Kirk looking after Chekov - or maybe Kirk is injured (or has been tortured) and Chekov has to be soft and tender with him. Or maybe a dubcon scenario, whether casual sex or full of pining, as Kirk gently guides Chekov through the experience - especially if Chekov is still a virgin.

If they're having sex due to dubcon scenario you can set it any time after Chekov turns 18, but if they have romantic feelings for each other please set it during or after Beyond, i.e. when Chekov is 22 or older.

(No preference for whether you call them Jim/Pavel or Kirk/Chekov, use what you prefer.)

James T. Kirk/Christopher Pike

I love that Pike was the first one to believe in Kirk - and the one who got Kirk to believe in himself. He finds this young guy losing a bar fight and tells him he can do more, be better, live up to not only his potential but his father's legacy. And Kirk hears that challenge and says no, I'll do even better than that.

But there's a tension between them: Pike encourages Kirk's out-of-the-box thinking and urge for heroics, but also expects him to follow the rules (or at least know which rules to break and when). Kirk wants that approval, wants to excel, but he's used to rebellion and reckless behaviour and is willing to risk more than other people are comfortable with. There's this push and pull where they're trying to find where the line should fall, and maybe that could play into how they are as a couple: not quite sure if their relationship is appropriate or it's going too far, if it's going to make Kirk a better man or screw him up more.

As a captain, Pike seems kind and steady but also willing to make unconventional choices, and he gives Kirk a chance to speak even when he's just stowed away on his ship. Kirk respects him and wants his respect in return but also chafes against the hierarchy of Starfleet. Would Pike be a source of safety and stability when they're captured by aliens? Maybe the intensity and vulnerability of being imprisoned would guide them towards a romance (maybe after mutually pining) - or maybe they agree to some casual sex when they're pushed into a dubcon scenario.

Not looking for daddy kink here but Kirk's daddy issues are welcome. He obviously has some trauma with regards to his father (and presumably his abusive stepfather) and that's part of why he is the way he is. But with everything that happens in space, they probably both have some trauma due to the terrible things they've seen, maybe even PTSD, and that could play into some hurt/comfort - though maybe what happens while imprisoned is traumatic enough.

If you set this during or after Into Darkness please go AU and have Pike live! Happy for it to be an AU where Kirk remains Pike's first officer too. (No preference for whether you call them Jim/Chris or Kirk/Pike, use what you prefer.)

James T. Kirk/Montgomery "Scotty" Scott

I love that Scotty is almost immediately loyal to Kirk, and that Kirk absolutely relies on him to get things done - even when Scotty's already resigned. And Scotty might complain, but he'll still rush to help him. I love how Scotty swings between almost innocent cheerfulness that turns to grumpiness when he feels unappreciated, and the humorous possibilities of that with his charming, flirty, almost reckless captain. Kirk's a good leader, but he's got trauma lurking beneath the surface, and I think Scotty would be kind with that. And they're both brilliant in their own ways. How does their relationship develop when aliens capture them both?

This could be something angsty, something with a hurt/comfort vibe, something sillier, or something smutty - whether they're engaging in sex for a bit of comfort, or whether a dubcon scenario pushes them to do it for the first time. Established relationship, getting together (maybe after mutually pining), or casual sex all welcome.

Franklin "FDR" Foster/Tuck Hansen

I love these two and the dynamic they have: working smoothly together, protecting each other in danger, happily declaring their love for each other, bantering, hanging out. They're deeply competitive but deeply loyal, though there's also a fragility to their friendship. They're such different people - smooth, flirty FDR who hides his angsty past, and earnest, romantic Tuck who's longing for love but doesn't know how to find it - but they have such an easy rapport and genuinely like each other. (Except when they don't.) Would imprisonment turn those declarations of platonic love into romantic ones?

I'm thinking that a mission goes wrong and they get captured by bad guys, and have to wait to be rescued. But maybe that rescue doesn't come quickly, leaving them stuck in a cell together for a while? Or maybe they have to plot their own escape. Could be established relationship, or getting together, or mutual pining, or FWB (possibly also with mutual pining). Could be something fun and bantery, or something angstier, or with a hurt/comfort vibe - especially if FDR gets nonconned by the baddies, and Tuck has to watch and/or tend to him afterwards.

Asha/Magnifico of Rosas

I kinda felt like they couldn't decide what Magnifico's motivation was. Like whether he was a purely evil villain powered by arrogance and a need for control, or whether he was a sympathetic antagonist crushed by the pressure of kingship and past trauma. For this exchange, I'm looking for evil or corrupted Magnifico, imprisoning Asha and thinking himself fully justified in doing so. Maybe the canon plotline ended in a victory for him, or maybe it diverged somewhere else along the way - it'd add an interesting dynamic if Asha was his apprentice before she was his captive. I love Asha's determination, her compassion, her righteousness, and her quirky goofiness - but if your work suits her being more serious, that's fine. And feel free to turn Magnifico's arrogance and manipulation to the max, cheerfully keeping Asha captive, or maybe influencing her with some falsely gentle words and touches.

Please either make this an AU where Asha is already 18, or have a time skip so she's an adult. Magnifico cheating on Amaya is fine here, if you mention her at all. If there's smut, I'm happy for Magnifico to noncon Asha, or dubcon where Asha's consent is questionable due to being a virgin or an omega in heat, or even something vaguely consensual where he slowly convinces her or she succumbs to Stockholm syndrome... But maybe she continues to defy him, even as he keeps her locked in a cell or bound with those green magic hands, the frisson between them never quite tipping over into a full relationship - despite Magnifico encroaching on Asha, maybe even kissing her.
