Maybe an AU where Barbara never went evil? Or maybe she did go evil, resulting in some mutual pining - until compassionate Diana forgives a repentant Barbara, though maybe it still lends an angsty edge to things. They just had such a cute dynamic, with Diana opening up as Barbara hero-worshipped her. But I also loved them as enemies! I am totally down for hate sex, conflicted feelings, even some dubcon - maybe they get hit by sex pollen, and afterwards Diana can't forget the intense experience? Diana uses the lasso of truth to interrogate a resistant, aggressive Barbara - but she doesn't expect Barbara to confess an attraction to her.
Intense desperate hate sex between them as enemies. Maybe it starts as a fight and then tips over? Or there's an accident and the two of them get sex pollened, leading them to finally indulge the lust they've been resisting?

I love that Diana was so instantly accepting of Etta, even though she wasn't a strong, highly trained Amazon - she valued Etta as her own person, valued what she brought to the table. And Etta appreciated Diana too, without jealousy, even as she was awed by her everything. Judging by the photograph in the second film, they're lifelong friends. I would love to see it become a romance too. Whether they're having adventures, comforting each other over losing Steve, or just settling into fluffy domestic times, I just think they'd be great together.

Narrative Prompts

Etta's just lived through four years of war, and Diana saw the front lines. Obviously there could be some angst there, beyond losing Steve, or some hurt/comfort - does one of them have a nightmare, and need the other to comfort them?
But I'd love something fluffier too! Maybe it'd take them a little while to get there, but it'd be great to see them enjoying daily life together. Nobody would question two women living together, so they could easily get an apartment together - or even a little cottage? Domestic fluff would be great: just them cooking together or sharing meals (maybe Diana introduces Etta to Themysciran cuisine?), maybe gardening, dancing to records on a gramophone, cuddling up in bed...
Or celebrating any kind of holiday! Does Diana know what Christmas is? Maybe Etta would have to explain all the traditions to her. Or New Year, looking back and looking ahead? Or Easter, eating or painting eggs? What holidays did they have on Themyscira? Just some fun fluff!
A new adventure - or a bit of one - would be great. Etta got the chance to show a little of her brilliance when she was put in charge of logistics, but I'd love to see her in the field. Maybe she'd be nervous, or need to be brave and conquer her fear, and need Diana's reassurance to help her step up. Maybe she'd flourish under pressure. Maybe she'd just enjoy getting to see Diana being a badass close up. But I'd love to see them go on a canon-typical adventure together, whether as an established couple, or getting together via those events.
Sickfic where Etta has the flu and is too ill to get out of bed, and Diana gently looks after her, feeding her soup or reading to her and such. (Not the 1918 flu, just a generic one.)

Despite her in-depth theoretical knowledge of sex, Diana's never actually done it with anyone. Maybe Etta's had sex with men (or maybe she hasn't) but, considering the time period, the idea that two women could be together might never have occurred to her. But growing up in an all-female society, sapphic romance - and sapphic sex - is completely normal for Diana, and she introduces Etta to the wonders of it. How about some body worship? Etta was very appreciative of Diana's appearance while they were shopping - maybe she'd be excited to run her hands over everything. How much would it affect the plot of the first film if Steve was a woman - would she have found it difficult to get people to take her seriously as a female spy, maybe have struggled to get into the field at all? Maybe she went to the front as a non-combatant and then saw an opportunity? Has she experienced as much trauma, or less - or more? Did she have to crossdress as part of going undercover? (I'm not expecting super historical accuracy here, so go with whatever logic works for you.)

And how differently does Diana react to a female Steve? What about the other Amazons? Is their response less severe - do they allow Steve to explore Themyscira under guard? Maybe this Steve is less confident in her abilities, and seeing the Amazons allows her to believe she could be exceptional. Maybe Steve has never considered that a relationship with another woman is even possible, and it's Diana and her relaxed attitude to the idea that allows her to imagine it for the first time. Would their whole dynamic be different? Diana starts off as somewhat naive, despite her principles and determination, and male Steve worries about that even as he values her skills - but maybe Diana would take a more reassuring role to a less confident female Steve, and the balance between them would be different? Or maybe Steve's just the same and so's their dynamic! (How would Etta fit into this as well?) Show me how a scene plays out - or more, if you're inspired.

I'd love for them to get a happy ending, whether that's by changing the end of the first film, changing the second film, or through some magical means that happens in between. (True resurrection artifact? Soulmate magic? Reincarnation? Time travel?) Or you could handwave how it happens, and just show me them as a happy established couple. This could be a realistic depiction of a lesbian couple in the 1910s, keeping the truth hidden as they cohabit, or as this is comic book land maybe they find somewhere they can be themselves. Would love some domestic fluff, them being badasses in their daily lives, or maybe hurt/comfort with one or both of them having nightmares - struggling with the traumas of war. I opted into smut, so I'd love to see them explore sex together, maybe with Diana showing Steve what it's like to be with a woman, exploring kinks together - or as an established couple who already know how to give each other pleasure. (One possibility is a femslash version of their night in Veld - or whatever first time they would have had in this universe!)

For art, I'd love to see them fighting side by side, or Diana protecting Steve. Or some cute fluff: kissing, holding hands, maybe Diana carrying Steve in her arms, or sparring practice. Bunny/Alice Chambers

These two have such an interesting relationship: best friends living the high life together, but with the fucked up undercurrent of all the secrets Bunny is keeping. Alice is clever and determined, but relaxes most with Bunny - and when her suspicions grow it's not Jack she confides in, but her best friend. Bunny is charming and acerbic, drawing Alice away from the others as they gossip, but under that she's hiding the angst of all she's lost. To keep the illusion going, she must have lied to Alice so many times - but in the end Bunny is the one who warns Alice to flee.

I've always seen a frisson between them, laughing and drinking and partying together, and Alice jokes that Bunny playing tennis without spilling her cocktail is "quite possibly the sexiest thing I've ever seen" - what if it wasn't entirely a joke? I'm fine with them cheating on Jack and Dean, but I can also imagine their husbands giving them permission - after all, Victory is a male fantasy. But maybe Alice and Bunny find a way to reclaim their relationship for themselves? Could just be casual sex, but maybe it turns more serious, especially as the darkness of Victory rears its head. In many ways the two of them feel separate from the other wives, so maybe there'd be an intimacy and a trust there - or angst over Bunny's betrayal.

Narrative Prompts

Once Alice escaped she went to the police and now Victory has been shut down. She stumbles into Bunny, who's trying to adjust to life back in the real world - and deal with all she's lost. But Alice's attempts to comfort her old friend take an unexpected turn when they end up kissing...
After a visit to the pool, they squeeze into the same booth to change out of their swimsuits.
During a wild night of drinking, dancing and giggling, Alice and Bunny find themselves stumbling into bed together, and end up having a great time.

Considering how gender affects absolutely every part of this film, how does it change if Frank is a woman too? I'd love her to be just as creepy, just as manipulative, just as unhealthily invested in her intellectual rivalry with Alice. I'm presuming she'd be a willing "wife" but still the driving force behind Victory, still absolutely believing in this worldview, still committed to making it a reality - but how does her expression of control and power change when she's viewed as the "lesser" sex? Are her cult-leader type tactics still as effective on misogynistic men, or does she rely on the support of a male Shelley (Sheldon?) to reinforce her edicts?

Alice is presumably still just as clever and determined. But if Frank is a wife, attending daily social events, does she wheedle her way into Alice's life without seeming like such a distant threat? How quickly would Alice suspect a woman she's used to shopping with, used to lounging next to at the pool - especially if Bunny is equally close to the two of them? Does Frank take Shelley's place as leader of the ballet class, and as a hostess, but as less of a cool authoritative figure and more intense, more emotionally involved? Does Frank calling Alice a "good girl" feel different in this context, or is it just as sexually charged? Does Frank slowly manipulate Alice into bed, perhaps telling her that sex between women "doesn't count" so it's not cheating? Or maybe Frank just noncons Alice? There are so many ways that Alice's quest for the truth - and a conflicted attraction to Frank - could be impacted if Frank's a woman! Show me how a scene plays out - or more, if you're inspired.

For art, I'd love to see the "good girl" moment reimagined as femslash; Frank and Alice hanging out by the pool or at a party or at the shops; Frank invading Alice's personal space as she corrects her ballet posture; Frank pushing Alice against a wall to kiss her; a smutty scene, consensual or otherwise... Shelley/Alice Chambers

These two don't get to interact much, but in many ways Shelley is Frank's enforcer among the wives: keeping them in line as their ballet teacher, shutting Alice down at her dinner party, but also a smooth and sparkling figure guiding the mood at social events. I'm really interested in how that friction and power dynamic could play out if they got more focus.

Alice is clever and determined, even if she's out of her depth. Shelley is calm and controlled, with an edge of ruthlessness, but there's so much we don't know about her. Did she always know what Victory is? Maybe she even helped build it. Did Frank ever mess with her memory? What pushed her to take out Frank and wrest control - and what does she plan to do now? And how might Alice figure in those plans? Does Shelley think of Alice as a rival, an ally, even a scapegoat? Would Alice trust Shelley more than she trusted Frank - and should she? I just think Alice and Shelley could have a juicy, complicated, intense and/or fucked up relationship and I'd love to see it.

I'm fine with one or both of them cheating on their husbands, although I can also imagine Frank giving Shelley permission to use seduction to keep the wives in line. If you want to do smut, consensual or dubcon is welcome. Could be a missing scene or post-canon, or some kind of canon divergence AU, and I'm fine with both Jack and Frank's canon deaths here.

Narrative Prompts

During one ballet lesson, Shelley pays particularly close attention to Alice - watching her intently, giving her sharp instructions, pressing in close to manually correct her form. And Alice can't ignore the way her heart beats faster. Maybe Shelley even ends up asking Alice to stay late, or invites her for a private lesson, so they can "practise" for a "solo performance"...
At a party, Alice and Shelley end up dancing together or in deep conversation. And as Shelley presses close in the dark, the rest of the crowd fades away, and Alice discovers that Shelley's interest in her is even more intense than Frank's - and far more welcome.
Instead of trying to escape, Alice goes for a final showdown with Frank - and finds an unexpected ally in Shelley. Between them, they manage to bring him down. Afterwards, maybe Shelley suggests a more personal alliance to protect their futures. Or maybe one of them was injured in the fight, and the other patches her up.
Or maybe, that night at Frank's celebration, it's Shelley who finds Alice freaking out instead of Bunny. And Shelley's way of manipulating her into calming down is far more sensual.
Or maybe Alice's suspicions about Victory led her to confide in Shelley before then, and they agreed to investigate together, and that trust bloomed into a secret relationship. But was Shelley actually on Alice's side?
What happens between them after the film ends? Now that she's escaped, does Alice plan on revealing Victory's secret to the world? Maybe Shelley would want to stop her, in order to keep control of it, and a new cat-and-mouse game starts between them. Maybe Shelley's happy for the world to know what Frank did - and the new utopia she's offering. Would she make Alice an offer, asking her to support the new Victory, even to return as an honoured guest? And should Alice trust that offer?
Maybe a post-canon meeting results in hate sex in the real world - or maybe a tense moment at a party turned into some frustrated, frenzied making out in the bathroom in a missing scene.
Before they escalate to wiping Alice's mind again, Frank sends Shelley to manipulate her back into good behaviour. And if that involves some tantalising dubcon, well, Shelley won't complain. Not with a wife as pretty as Alice...
The men of Victory are on a "business trip" when omega Alice goes into heat. As the highest ranking wife, it's Shelley's duty to see to Alice's needs - and the experience is far more intense than either one expected.

Despite the age difference, they're similar in a lot of ways - both blunt, both brawlers in battle, both with angsty family situations. I'd love to see them develop a bond, whether it's something casual and fun, or whether they find comfort in each other, learning to be more vulnerable. Maybe gruff Holga slowly comes to see her young friend in a new light... Or maybe practical Doric takes a shine to Holga, and she puts the idea in her head. I don't have a lot of headcanons here, so I'm excited to see where you could take it!

What about meeting or spending time together around the elven town - relaxing in the tavern, doing communal chores, taking part in festivals or celebrations? When they parted, Doric spoke more gently than she does with most people. Maybe they're already friends, and a cute romance blossoms between them. Maybe they're secretly pining for each other. Maybe they're friends with benefits. Or an established relationship would be great too!

After all the damage Forge did, there's a lot for the Emerald Enclave to rebuild. Can Doric's druidic magic help with that? Or is it a slow and tedious process, physically clearing the mess and planting new saplings?
What kind of celebrations and ceremonies do the wood elves have? Do they mark the passing of the seasons, the harvests, the solstices? Is there dancing? Special foods? Staying up all night, wrapped in blankets? Maybe Doric and this elf could share a private moment during a festival.
Doric seems like she'd be pretty practical about sex, so maybe she propositions the wood elf for some casual sex. Maybe being a tiefling makes dating hard, and Doric's still a virgin - but that's not going to hold her back once she's found a willing partner.

Maybe some angst where they're mutually pining before they get together. Maybe some established relationship fluff, with them being domestic in Targos or in camp while adventuring, or Edgin knitting for Xenk, or them kissing or cuddling or holding hands. Always love banter too! When I wrote fem Xenk myself, one decision I made was to have Holga be softer with her, on the basis that as a fellow martial woman Holga might feel more kinship with fem Xenk. But I also like their dynamic as it is in canon, with gruff Holga not really understanding serious Xenk but slowly edging towards respect. But I think they'd create a great contrast as two warrior women: Xenk elegant, precise, controlled; Holga brawling, making innovative use of her surroundings; their different styles blending and supporting each other.

I think Faerun is supposed to have sexual equality, at least in most cases, so maybe the world wouldn't treat fem Xenk any different. But I'd love to see them having an adventure together, either as an established couple, or as that friction turns to respect and affection. Or something humourous or bantery as they fondly misunderstand each other. Or hurt/comfort, with Xenk gently healing Holga, or Holga attempting to comfort injured Xenk when she has no healing magic left. Or something angsty, with divorced Holga feeling lonely, or Xenk worrying about her curse. Maybe Xenk is secretly a virgin, who's been repressing herself for years due to that curse, or out of a sense of duty. Or maybe Xenk is experienced, and up for something more casual with Holga. Maddy/Owen

I loved the awkward, tender, intimate relationship these two developed. They're both outsiders, both struggling with their families and their queer identities, and in the liminal space of late night TV they found a place where they could reveal their secrets and see themselves/each other in ways nobody else could. Despite the horror of the outside world, they found a softness and a hope together, even if it didn't last.

I'm interested in both "they really are Tara and Isabel, trapped in the Midnight Realm" and "the Pink Opaque isn't real; all of the strange happenings are caused by the mental strain of suppressing their queer identities" interpretations. I'd love a missing scene when they were teenagers, or canon divergence where Owen chooses to "wake up" (in whatever sense), and I'm fine with you continuing the eerie unreality or using unreliable narration or fucking with the timeline. (Especially to make Owen an adult before Maddy leaves, as I DNW underage sex.)

The creators intended Owen to be transfem and I'd love that rather than a cisfem genderswap, but no preference for pre-op/post-op/non-op status, or which stage of social transition she's in. If Owen changes names, Isabel is an obvious choice, but other names beginning with O are welcome, eg Olivia, Oluremi, Opal, Ophelia...

Helen seems very worried about her social standing, whereas George is more relaxed and confident. Does Helen secretly pine after George, too nervous about what people will say to actually confess? Is it a big moment for her when she decides she wants to show George off as her girlfriend? Maybe George is actually hiding her own worries, and has been pining too. (Do Nancy and Bess decide to play matchmakers?)

I love the idea of female Nicholas being just as much of a charming flirt, still into cooking and polo and rugby, with the same hints towards angst as (seemingly) an orphan raised by a manipulative uncle. And Mia still being just as delightfully awkward and clumsy, entirely unsure of how to deal with her, but sweet and caring and determined to be a good queen.

How does the plot of the movie change if Nicholas also needs to marry in order to claim the crown? Is she trying to convince Mia to choose love over duty, while racing towards the altar herself? Is she comfortable about making that sacrifice, or conflicted - and is Mia trying to convince her not to go through with it either? Does Mabrey need to manipulate Nicholas's emotions more to keep her going along with the plan - and does that mean she turns against him sooner? Did a female Nicholas never dance with Mia at her birthday ball, and so their relationship starts off differently?

Maybe a female Nicholas would be more alert to the unfairness of a queen needing to be married and campaign for that law to be changed, either at the deadline (instead of simply refusing the crown), or earlier on - maybe the conflict becomes Nicholas trying to convince Mia only a "true" Genovian should rule. Maybe the night that Mia and Nicholas spend together under the stars is Nicholas's last gesture towards love before she goes to get married in the morning - and it's Mia who ends up racing to stop Nicholas getting married. Or maybe they simply resolve the issue by marrying each other!

Or you could show me their future together as a lesbian couple. Dating while dealing with the paparazzi, cute fluffy domestic moments, Nicholas supporting Mia at public events... I did opt into smut, so you could show me their first time, or them exploring kinks, or confident lovemaking as an established couple. Maybe they deal with the need for an heir via sperm donation and IVF - and maybe Nicholas is the one to carry the baby? (Pregnancy fluff or hurt/comfort for morning sickness very welcome, whoever the pregnant one is.)

For art, I'd love a canon shippy moment reimagined as femslash: dancing at the ball, kissing by the fountain, hands-on archery help, dancing in the moonlight. Gaila/Nyota Uhura

I love the roommates-to-lovers trope and the tiny glimpse we get of these two makes me think they'd be perfect for it. Uhura has no hesitation about stripping to her underwear in front of Gaila, who's already lying there mostly naked herself. That's exactly the kind of casual intimacy (and forced proximity) I love for this trope. But they've clearly got some friction too - and it'd be easy to spin Uhura making Gaila promise to stop bringing guys back to the room as a spark of jealousy. It seems like they are friends though: their casual chat about Uhura's work (even while Kirk's hiding under the bed!) seems both normal for them and shows they do tell each other about their lives.

We don't get to see much of Gaila and her personality, but her big grin to Uhura after being given her ship assignment makes me think she's cheerful and earnest. Uhura is sharper, but she's brilliant and hardworking, and not afraid of tough situations. And she has a caring side too. I'd love to see what kind of dynamic results between them, whether before or after the first film.

This version of Trek doesn't really delve into the Orion species, so I'm fine with them just being random aliens - but I've heard in other versions that Orion women release sexy pheromones, if that's something you want to include? Might be interesting if Gaila is supernaturally attractive to guys - but Uhura is immune, and they have to build a real relationship based on an emotional connection. (Or uninfluenced sexual attraction.) Also, Gaila confessed feelings to Kirk really quickly, which makes me wonder if she has a pattern of getting attached to people before she should - maybe she has to stop and work out if what she feels for Uhura is genuine.

A night out results in some drinking, some dancing, and maybe some kissing.
Working together when a mission goes wrong and they're stuck on an alien planet together. Or some relaxing shore leave, as they get to explore the wonders of a beautiful planet together.
They strike up a friends with benefits arrangement at the academy, for fun and stress relief. But maybe the more times they sleep together, the more they can't help pining for a romantic relationship.
Maybe Gaila flirting with random guys is a bratty sub strategy to bait Uhura into disciplining her - and Uhura is happy to provide that.
One of them goes into heat or rut, filling their shared dorm with tempting scent. The other one offers to help soothe it. Could be an alpha/omega thing, or maybe just part of Orion biology.

Basically just: Kirk/Bones as lesbians! That's the entire concept!

I'd love something set at Starfleet Academy, especially if they share a dorm, or while exploring space on the Enterprise. You could do something dramatic, with an away mission that goes wrong, and all the action that goes with that - or hurt/comfort, if one of them gets injured. These two were so supportive of each other, and worked so well once they teamed up. You could definitely read some symbolism into Amaya becoming ruler and Asha becoming wishmaster - splitting Magnifico's old roles between them. But I loved the scene before Asha's interview, with Amaya calmly preparing and encouraging Asha, even gently holding her hands - and for all her quirky awkwardness, Asha seemed very comfortable with Amaya even then. Now that Asha's turned eighteen, it's time for her to make a wish. But it turns out to be something neither of them expected.
Amaya feels guilty about the way Asha is starting to make her heart beat faster. Asha does so much good for Rosas, and Amaya only wants good things for her - and Amaya fears the age difference means she's not good for her.
Asha saw the way Magnifico dazzled his subjects. Maybe Amaya doesn't have illusions to inspire awe, but she's still regal, she's intelligent, she has a lot of life experience - and that's definitely why Asha's feeling so dazzled by her these days. Definitely just that.
Dealing with the difficulties of granting wishes and running a country, supporting each other as they learn their new roles.
